Katie Johnson and her boyfriend Ryan Sikes are accused of breaking into a car and stealing Christmas presents meant for two special needs children. Police say most of the items have been recovered.

A Lyon County man has been arrested in the shooting death of his wife. 27 year old Dustin Cooper of Mason Valley is being held in Yerington without bail, in the death of 26 year old Johnie Shadden last March. Shadden was a postal worker who was shot while on her route. The death was originally considered an accident. The FBI and Postal Service were also involved in the investigation.
