The Reno Police Department is warning drivers that there's been an uptick in car burglaries, especially at locations like movie theaters and gyms.

In a 4-to-2 vote the Reno City Council has approved an additional $75,000 from the City's Risk Management Fund to continue an investigation into complaints of misconduct against former City Manager Andrew Clinger. The Council has already approved $150,000 for the investigation. That doesn't include the money the City has already agreed to pay in a separation package with Clinger totaling $227,000. Mayor Hillary Schieve and Council member Neoma Jardon were the "no" votes. The Council is expected to hear a presentation on the findings of the final report on December 14th.

A man who was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk on Virginia St. near 17th St. this past weekend has died.

Reno Police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian at the intersection of 4th and Washington last night. Reno's Major Accident Investigation team responded to the scene just before 7 o'clock and found that the victim was struck by two vehicles. The driver of the first vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian, who was likely in a crosswalk. The driver of the second vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. Police are looking for a small passenger vehicle, with front end damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
