A fire broke out at a house in Reno this (Sunday) morning. Officials with the Reno Fire Department said crews responded to the home on Harding Circle near Sunray Drive at about 9 a.m. Firefighters found the flames in the attic space. They quickly knocked down the fire and were able to confine it to the attic. No residents were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents.

A World Series of Poker champion with millions in winnings is wanted for passing bad checks. Attorneys intend to ask a judge this week to recall an arrest warrant for gambler Ted Forrest. The 51-year-old, who is estimated to have more than $6.3 million in tournament earnings, has been charged with drawing and passing a check without sufficient funds with the intent to defraud as well as theft. According to a criminal complaint, Forrest allegedly tried to pass two checks worth $215,000 between October 2012 and May 2013 at Wynn Las Vegas.

Former Wolf Pack basketball star Tyron Criswell was arrested for DUI early Saturday morning. Reno police received a call about a vehicle driving erratically on Interstate 580 and officers spotted the vehicle in the 1200 block of South Meadows Parkway at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. A field sobriety test was conducted and Criswell failed and was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.
