A woman who rear ended another car, then screamed at the driver of the car she hit before she sped away, has been convicted for felony driving under the influence. While fleeing the first crash, she hit another car, badly injuring two men December 2014. She called 9-1-1 and complained that she'd damaged her new car. 25 year old Nicole Cote of Sun Valley was also convicted of felony reckless driving. She will be sentenced November 1st, and faces up to 40 years in prison. Her blood alcohol level was slightly under the legal limit, but the level of marijuana metabolites in her system were three times the legal limit.

A man is in the hospital after getting hit by a car while crossing the street. It happened just before midnight. The Reno Police Department says the vehicle was headed westbound on Moana Lane near Smith Drive when it struck the pedestrian who was in a crosswalk. The man who was hit was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the crash. The driver was not injured, but was cited.

Three people have been arrested by Sparks police in connection with a series of burglaries at local office supply stores.
