Firefighters continue battling the Shooting Fire burning in the "C" Hill area near Carson City. Sheriff Ken Furlong says two men called 9-1-1 around 11:00 this morning to report they had accidentally started the fire while target shooting. There are 70 firefighters on scene with eight engines, three hand crews, one water tender, three helicopters and two air tankers. There's some confusion on the size of the fire, varying from 200 to one-thousand acres, and there is ten percent containment. As many as seventy-five structures were threatened in the Carson Indian Colony at one point and evacuations were ordered, however those evacuation orders have been lifted. Now Twenty homes have been evacuated in the Stewart Colony area, 40 other residences are threatened. The evacuation center is located at the Stewart Indian Facility.
