Evacuations caused by the Shooting Fire have been lifted in Carson City. The fire is covering 200 acres and at zero percent containment, although Curry Street has been reopened after an earlier closure. The Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center reports that the fire is burning grass on private and tribal land. The fire was started by two 21-year-old men who were targeting shooting and had nothing to put the fire out after it had started. Thirty-six personnel are on scene, and two air tankers and three helicopters are dropping water and fire retardant on the flames.
