An "habitual criminal" has been given a 20 year prison sentence. Washoe County D.A.'s office says 32 year old Matthew Paul Williams latest conviction is for felony eluding January 29th, 2015.The eluding charge alone carries a sentence of up to six years in prison. Prosecutor Carrie Morton says not a year went by without Williams committing new crimes, even while facing charges for others. She also pointed to Williams’ 13 felony convictions for crimes including burglary, possession of controlled substance, grand larceny, commercial burglary, forgery and theft. In the eluding case Williams led police on a chase more than 90 miles per hour, eventually crashing his vehicle and running away.
