Production Pattern and Foundry accounts chief Gillian Pallesen issued a statement that denies directing or allowing employees to "illegally or irresponsibly" dispose of production waste. Pallesen says one man in the video is a former company employee whose departure was unrelated to the video.

The Mason Fire that sparked in northeast Washoe Valley Sunday night is now in mop-up phase.

Crews are mopping up a brush fire that started in northeast Washoe Valley last night. The Mason fire was held to just nine acres. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District responded to to the fire just before 9:00 PM. Washoe County's Raven helicopter, assisted with the initial attack, conducting four water drops before losing sunlight. The cause is still under investigation, but witnesses report target shooting in the area earlier in the day. Command has now been turned over to crews from the BLM.
