The Reno Police Department estimates 10 thousand participants attended the 17th annual Reno Santa Pub Crawl last night.

There was a total of 22 arrests, including misdemeanors and felonies. The regional street enforcement team visited 51 businesses for alcohol compliance checks.

Only five businesses failed the checks.

Panasonic continues staffing its manufacturing operations at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. They're inviting people out to a hiring fair this week. Some of the roles they're trying to fill include shift leaders, plant managers, Human Resources, and machine operators. They'd like applicants to apply online before coming in person, and you can do that at panasonic-n-v-dot-com. The fair begins tomorrow through Thursday at their recruiting office located at 2-94 East Moana, Suite 18 in Reno.

The Reno Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire in a travel trailer earlier this morning and displacing the owner. KOLO 8 News reports the fire happened on East Second Street and trailer is a total loss. The man who was living there was running an errand and returned to find the trailer in flames. The Fire Department says he is being helped by the American Red Cross.

Governor Sandoval has announced the first reduction in unemployment insurance taxes in eight years. The Governor also said the state has repaid the 800 million dollars it borrowed from the feds to pay insurance benefits.

The Storey County Fire Department contained an industrial fire before 2 o'clock today. A large generator at James Hardie off USA Parkway caught fire and Storey Fire responded.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is excited to announce they've finished the Pyramid McCarran Intersection Improvement project 6 months ahead of schedule.
