The new facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center in Storey County is under construction, and scheduled to be operational in late 2018. They expect to hire more than 100 employees over the next few years.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a shooting that left a 24-year-old man dead.

It happened at an apartment complex on Selmi Drive in Reno, Wednesday November 29th. The victim is Christian Gonzales of Reno. He suffered a single gunshot wound. Reno Police are asking anyone with information to call the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness.

Senator Dean Heller's Chip Stability Act, legislation he introduced to provide states with certainty for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), has been signed into law by the President. Heller says CHIP is a lifeline for thousands of vulnerable children, and that’s why it’s vital we keep this program operational. He says his bill helps ensure states can continue to provide the vital services offered through CHIP as we continue working on a bipartisan, long-term extension of this critical program. The CHIP Stability Act was signed as part the two-week government funding bill.
