Itʻs been a long time since the last podcast but Iʻm coming back with a new season of The Ku Project Podcast.
I am revamping the podcast to be based around Ku Performance and focusing on how to improve your overall performance through training, nutrition, and recovery. Looking to interview top Hawaii coaches and fitness professionals here in Hawaii and have them share their stories and how they approach performance.
TRAIN. LIVE. BE KU.
Aipa shares a few updates on where The Ku Project and Ku Performance is at now with its opening of our own training facility.
Then Aipa goes into what the BEST training system out there is and how to go about finding which system works best for you.
Daniel Aipa talks with Jordan Syatt and shares his story of becoming one of the youngest to be certified by Westside Barbell, being a world recorder holder powerlifter, and his approach to keeping his clients motivated and keeping his training simple and effective. Lastly, He talks about how he got the opportunity to be Gary Vaynerchuk's Fitness Coach.
When it comes to training, we all get to a time during the session when we start to have a conversation with ourselves. We either submit or push through that self doubt. Aipa shares a tip on how to build a Ku Mindset during training and exercise. He gives a simple exercise for you to do to find that time where your Ku Mindset kicks in.
Recently came across the topic of reversing diabetes on Good Morning America, I was disappointed by it because it touched upon the same things that everyone knows about exercise and nutrition being important. What made it worse for me was the fact that they shared a study of a group going through a program with a personal trainer and following a healthy diet. Everyone received great results and improvements, but after the program ended found that majority of the participants were right back to where they started. That just made me want to share some insights on this problem not from a diabetes standpoint but from a fitness professional who is tired of organizations and the fitness industry not focusing on the MAIN PROBLEM!!!
Daniel Aipa shares an olelo no'eau or Hawaiin Proverb that speaks about Canoe fillers who one must be aware not to become one or surround yourself with them. This follows the idea of "you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with" by Jim Rohn and being aware of who you surround yourself with.
