the high desert food and farm alliance is funded by the USDA, they are looking for participants for their Veggie RX Program which is a 10 week program for them to receive weekly food boxes and recipes. you will need to be referred by a medical professional.

Caroline Cruz is the Health and Human Services General Manager for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. This branch of the tribal government is responsible for programs that support people’s health and basic needs, and enhances the health and welfare of Warm Springs community members.

Oregon Senate Bill 189 will become law on January 1, 2024. The law will allow Oregonians to have a say in the final disposition of their amputated body parts , in accordance with their cultural, religious, and spiritual beliefs. The law will also apply in the case of fetal death, allowing a family to carry out cultural and religious practices with regard to the loss of a child. The issue for Native People has been ongoing with some accommodations made over the years. Warm Springs tribal Member Dr,Shilo Tippett is Manager of Caregiver Inclusion and Experience for St Charles.

STRIVE is a free weeklong program helps students learn more about Native affairs and history and explore how others have used college as a vehicle to serve their tribal communities. Students who participate will earn a college credit and more importantly get a glimpse of what life as a college student will be like.

STRIVE 2023 will be held on COCC's Bend Campus. Applications are available now on the COCC website, cocc.edu.
