In this deeply personal third installment of Kyle’s exploration of grief, and specifically the grief of losing his father, he sits down with two people who know a whole lot about losing loved ones, his mother Wanda, and her sister, Sandra. Wanda and Sandra, along with their brother, Danny, lost their mother to cancer when they were in their late teens and early twenties. Sandra lost her firstborn son in a car crash when he was 18. They also lost a sister as children. In this episode, they talk about the importance of having a grief partner, someone who can be there with you to be your support person to lean on during the darkest days. They also find themselves speaking freely about things that they haven’t quite worked through that occurred at the last family funeral almost ten years ago.
In part two of Kyle’s discussion on grief, he is joined by his sister, Magan Henderson Trammell. Kyle and Magan were side by side as they said their final goodbyes to their father, Coy Leon Henderson. In this episode, they sit down at Magan’s kitchen table with a pot of coffee and discuss their perspective on grief two weeks after losing their father.
After a very long hiatus, Kyle is back on the air with a series of episodes exploring the latest development in his life: Grief. Since the last episode of “Not For Nothing…” Kyle’s father passed away. Grief is a tricky thing in that it manifests differently for everyone in different ways. The next several episodes will be an exploration of that grief. This first episode was recorded on the night before his father died. Kyle’s best friend, and favorite guest of the show, joins Kyle on the patio of his childhood home on a balmy September night to catch up and discuss the care of a dying father.
Kyle is sitting down again with his local bestie, Billy Alexander. When these two silly boys get together, their conversations go on a rapid and meandering journey from diet and exercise, politics, sex, mental health, television, and so many other places. So, grab your favorite beverage and sit back and join Billy and Kyle at the mic for one of the happiest experiences Kyle ever gets to have, communion with Billy.
Kyle Leon Henderson has reached the end of his rope. The pressures of carrying on with the everyday tasks of life during 2020, a year complete with the worst world pandemic in over 100 years, racial tensions and social unrest, a looming Presidential election that could change the course of history or seal this country’s fate for a generation have finally gotten to him. So, he decided to take a little solo trip out of the city to Big Bear Lake where he will engage in a little self-care, a little relaxation and a little reexamination of the things that really matter. Join Kyle on his exodus to Big Bear, and perhaps get inspired to make a journey for yourself.
In an episode that allows you to be a fly on the wall for a conversation between Kyle and his bestie, Billy Alexander, for a conversation that is like all others between these two, meandering, entertaining, and full of laughter, you are going hear the opinions of these two on a wealth of topics. There is usually Drag Race… There is always wine… And there is always a lot of love when these two friends get together. So, sit back, grab a glass of wine, and forget the troubles out there while Kyle and Billy entertain you with their musings.

In this completely casual episode, Kyle is joined by Sarah Cooper, once again, to talk about the continuing saga that is COVID-19, and also to talk about some more light-hearted things to pass the time and to think about anything other than the dumpster fire year that 2020 has turned out to me.
After one week, and two sessions, of therapy, Kyle talks to Ethan about how the first week has gone. He marvels at the stark contrast of how you feel before going to your first therapy session versus how you feel after you have experienced therapy. He talks about his family dynamic and some things that are decades old that have contributed to some of the issues that are popping up in his life today. With some pretty candid stories about some people from Kyle’s past, this is the rawest and most vulnerable episode of “Not For Nothing…” yet.
Kyle has been talking about deciding to go to therapy for the past several weeks and the day has finally arrived. Today is Kyle’s first therapy session. This conversation recorded several days prior is all about the expectations, and trepidations, that Kyle is feeling about his upcoming therapy session. Kyle is joined by his closest chosen family members to discuss what to expect and how everyone is feeling about the situation.
Billy Alexander is back! In a light-hearted nod to Pride Month, Billy, Kyle, and Ethan sit down to discuss the greatest competition on television, RuPaul’s Drag Race. They delve into the charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, and all the heart-warming moments of personal growth of the world’s most famous drag queens. Now, sissy that walk on over to the werk room for a cocktail and Shante, you stay for a while as these three queer boys sip all the T from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
