Led-footed drivers, watch out.

Eleven new speed cameras are now active in West Philly. Five of them are at intersections along Route 13 (Baltimore Avenue).

They're focusing on that road because, according to city data from 2019 through 2023, there were 123 fatal and serious injury crashes, 160 speeding-related crashes and 258 pedestrian crashes.

For the next 60 days, if the cameras catch you speeding, you'll get a warning. After that, you'll get a ticket. Fines start at $100 and go up from there.

The Philadelphia Parking Authority says speed cameras have "dramatically reduced speeding along Roosevelt Boulevard by a staggering 95%." Officials are hoping for similar results in West Philly.

A speeding van crashed into at least four other cars, including a police cruiser, in Brewerytown, early Monday.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. at 28th Street and West Girard Avenue.

Police said several people suffered minor injuries.

There’s no word yet on whether the driver was arrested.

What a day it has been for cyclists from all over the world and thousands of spectators, in the long-awaited return of the Philly Cycling Classic.

Chiara Consonani won the women's race this morning, the men have been out there now for now for a couple of hours.
