Mayor Cherelle Parker says the storm dumped about a foot of snow on the city — heavy, wet snow which, combined with high winds, creates conditions for downed wires and trees. There’ve already been 47 tree emergencies, so she’s urging residents to avoid travel if they can and keep vehicles off snow emergency routes. KYW’s City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb reports.

Heavy, wet snow pummeled most of New Jersey, with the shore area getting the worst of this storm. Plow crews were working nonstop to clear the roads, and officials say it may take a little while before life gets back to normal. KYW South Jersey reporter Mike Dougherty has more.

South Jersey is getting the worst of this storm. Mount Holly, Burlington County, has 18.5 inches of snow. Mt. Ephraim, Camden County, has 11 inches. KYW Newsradio's Nigel Thompson has been driving around checking out the roads and joins us live from Cinnaminson, Burlington County.

Some areas are really getting walloped with this storm. Levittown, Bucks County, already has 15 inches of snow. Willow Grove, Montgomery County, has 11 inches. KYW Newsradio's Tim Jimenez is checking out the roads. He joins us live from Warrington, Bucks County.
