Delaware State Police have identified the man they say shot and killed 34-year-old Corporal Matthew T. "Ty" Snook this past Tuesday at a DMV south of Wilmington.
Authorities say 44-year-old Rahman Rose was the man who first entered the DMV on Hessler Boulevard as a customer, then approached Snook as he worked an overtime shift at the reception desk and shot him.
Snook moved to protect a DMV employee before police say Rose shot at Snook again.
As police responded to the shooting, they say Rose shot at them multiple times. An officer from New Castle County shot him through the DMV's window.
Both Snook and Rose died at the hospital from their injuries.
