The Division II West Chester University football program saw one of the region's elite coaches retire after last season in Bill Zwaan. They replaced him with . . . one of the region's elite coaches in Duke Greco. Greco comes to WCU after a phenomenal run at Division III Delaware Valley University. He takes over a team that went 6-5 in 2023 (3-4 PSAC East). Matt spoke with Greco to get his thoughts on his squad.

The University of Delaware football team is coming off a 9-4 (6-2 Colonial Athletic Association) 2023 season that saw them advance to the second round of the FCS playoffs. Delaware is in the process of transitioning up to FBS and this will be their final season in the CAA. Matt spoke with head coach Ryan Carty about his hopes for the 2024 campaign.

The Delaware Valley University football program has been one of the elite programs in Division III for years. They are coming off a 9-2 2023 season which saw them win their sixth-straight Middle Atlantic Conference title. They are the preseason pick to win the MAC again and the Aggies will bring an incredible 53-game conference winning streak into 2024. Matt spoke with new DelVal head coach Mike Isgro about his team.

The Division III Ursinus College football team is coming off an outstanding 2023 season. The Bears went 8-3 (3-3 in the Centennial Conference), winning their final four games, including a Centennial-MAC Bowl Series win over Stevenson. Ursinus has a lot of talent back here in 2024 and Matt caught up with head coach Peter Gallagher, to get his thoughts on his squad's potential this season.

The Villanova University football team enjoyed a tremendous 2023 season, finishing 10-3, winning a share of the Colonial Athletic Association title and advancing to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs. The Temple Owls are coming off a 3-9 (1-7 AAC) 2023 season and looking to take a big step forward here in 2024. They will get a big challenge in their opener on Friday as the Owls visit nationally ranked Oklahoma. Eric Brennan is preparing for his second season as the head men's basketball coach at Division III Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. His first season he was the interim head coach and lead the Profs to 21 wins and an appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. He served as an assistant to former Rowan head coach Joe Crispin before taking over the program and also spent several years as an assistant coach to Naismith Hall of Famer Herb Magee at Thomas Jefferson University.

Kelsie McDowell was just hired this summer to build the new varsity women’s rugby program at La Salle University. McDowell comes to Philadelphia from Army West Point, where she was serving as an assistant.
