I feel so lucky to have met Katerina, who not only makes me feel heard but is someone I can truly confide in. In this session, we talked about how overwhelmed I’ve felt lately and how that feeling is taking away from me being able to enjoy my family and my business. I learned that getting organized is a form of self-love and that I also need to take time to be grateful for where I am in my life – it’s important to remember that I am where I want to be. Welcome to the first episode of Labia Inc, the podcast! I want to share my story while creating a space for other women to share, laugh, cry and join me while we delve deep into vulnerability. 

In today’s episode, I am going to be discussing my experience with sexual abuse as a child, my eating disorders, and more. I am now 27 years old and though I remember the sexual abuse that occurred as early as 3 years old, some of those memories have been repressed due to disassociating since I was a little girl. I am going to uncover some of those traumas in today’s episode, and if there are any of you listening who have had similar experiences, know you’re not alone. Let’s get started.

In this episode, I am going to be talking about my experience in sex trafficking, the sexual assault that came with that, and sharing details about my mental health during the time. For the majority of year 20, I was pregnant with my daughter, attending community college (studying to be a teacher), and working.With eviction notices looming over me, ending an abusive relationship, and frustrated with the financial struggles of being a single mom - I realized that working a traditional 9-5 was not going to cut it money wise so I did what I had to to become a stripper. It’s not my favorite time for myself, but I feel like I need to share my full story, which includes my experience with addictions - all while being a single mom at the time.
