They are typically wearing a white dress or gown, and are commonly part of legends concerning accidental death, murder, and suicide. These ladies are part of lore from around the world, and are usually connected to unrequited love. They are deeply embedded into popular culture in books, movies, and tv shows, but are they real, or just stories.
