Today's Men Monday episode talks about LeBron James as an advocate, philanthropist and moral compass.  I talk about many things you may not know about LeBron and how his life outside of basketball is God sent.  We then mainly talk about MORE THAN A VOTE a non-profit that LeBron and other athletes started in June 2020, teaming up with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.  Their website banner says "CHANGE ISN'T MADE BY WATCHING FROM THE SIDELINES."  I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?   HAPPY LABOR DAY!!

This Men Monday we celebrate, not mourn the life of Chadwick Boseman.  Our King T'Challa of WAKADA FOREVER!!  We celebrate his strength and how in only seven (7) years, he played iconic figures in the African-American Culture (Jackie Robinson - 42; James Brown - Get on Up; Thurgood Marshall - Marshall).  We talk about the significance of his dying on August 28, 2020, as well as how he was born in 1976 (United States Bi-Centennial Year Celebration of the Declaration of Independence).  We discuss colon cancer briefly and end it with laughter of his skit on SNL Black Jeopardy as King T'Challa followed-up with James Brown "Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud." I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?  I noticed the fan distortion in the background.  Sorry about that.  Focus on the message.  I'm getting better):

This is audio recording from the Live broadcast on BET of the August 28, 2020 NAN Commitment March in Washington, DC.  UNFORTUNATELY BET HAD AUDIO DIFFICULTIES, SO FORGIVE THE AUDIO, BUT RECEIVE THE MESSAGE.  The families of Breonna, George and Jacob speak with powerful messages, and instructions for us to bring hope, unity, and perseverance.    Followed by an inspirational song called:  I Need You Now by Smokie Norful.  I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. This is my Thought Provoking Thursday where I wanted to focus on Jacob Blake's shooting in three different ways.  1st - His parents express their feelings.  2nd - We listen to a Fox News interview with horrible Fox audio, with Joe Biden comments and then a discussion between Ari Fleischer,  Former George W. Bush Press Secretary and Donna Brazile, Former Acting Chair of DNC about gun violence and two types of justice systems.  Finally - The song that says a lot by Atlanta Rapper Lil Baby called The Bigger Picture.

This Wonderful Women Wednesday episode is  subtitled "FUTURE".  It features Michelle Obama's 2020 Democratic National Convention ("DNC") speech, as well as Billie Eilish's song she performed at the DNC called My Future.  The words of the speech, as well as the lyrics of the song are inspirational as we struggle through so many things during our present.  We need to have hope that this too shall pass and that we can still dream about a prosperous, or at least survivable future.  God Bless.  I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode.
