Show Notes
blacklivesmatter #ladslivesmatter
Andrew welcomes his brother, Roger to the pod to join him and Linc (brother from another mother) in discussing the racial tensions, protests, and calls for police accountability and restructuring ongoing throughout the United States, Canada and the world as a result of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of the Minneapolis Police. They reminisce on their experiences growing up as the children of immigrants in Toronto, offer commentary on the social media and corporate response, and talk about the politics at play in bringing about real change for black people and other visible minorities in western society.
In the last part of the episode, they discuss the return of major sports leagues (NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL) from a financial, safety, and fan’s perspective. Roger weighs in on The Last Dance from the point of view of a lifelong Detroit Pistons fan.

I wonder
Oh, if the sky comes falling down
For you, there's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
