Contrary to religious notions so fashionable today, life is not a spiritual cafeteria where one can just pick a life that works for them. Before mankind God puts two choices. Only one works. The one we choose defines our nature and determines our destiny. Time to get serious.

They say good fences make good neighbors. Clear boundaries promote freedom of action within a given space and reduce the potential for confusion and conflict. That is why God sets them and why we should respect them.

Whenever we ignore biblical order, we eventually reap disorder; whenever we fail to respect sacred boundaries, we invite all kinds of dysfunction. The chickens do come home to roost!

Preach the word or turn out the lights.

If in our walk with God, we fall into the habit of focusing on our miseries, hope sags. If however we learn the habit of focusing on our monuments, hope soars.

Remember this however: A living faith is a following faith, a faith that is responsive to the will of God. (James 2:26) A person in whose heart dwells an honest faith in Christ doesn’t just talk the talk, but is serious about walking the walk. In other words, they are not just religious dilettantes who nibble on and dabble in the things of God, but real disciples who take up their crosses and follow a er Jesus. There is a huge difference between mere church people and God’s people. The ‘tells’ are in the feet, the hands, the mouth, and yes, even one’s tastes or appetites. So, let us all by the grace of God be diligent to verify our calling of God. (2 Peter 1:10)

Things we don’t bother to catch up with sometimes have a way of catching up with us. Don’t go to sleep! Be alert for false prophets. Today they are thicker than hobo spiders, ‘aints’ craftily masquerading as saints.

Do we truly fear God? We say we love Him. We say we trust Him. But do we fear Him? Solomon, the noted wisest man who ever lived, stated, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Is the reason life seems so confusing that we don’t fear God? Today we will discover that fear is the key to understanding and navigating a joyous and ful lling life.

Suffering, pain and trouble are unpleasant tools in the hands of our heavenly Father. But they are tools used to achieve a glorious result, and He uses them liberally on those He deeply loves.

Human beings are for the most part herd animals, even those who imagine they are not. To follow the crowd is a catastrophe waiting to happen; to follow Christ is a cross waiting on a crown.
