In following Jesus we cannot wear our pride on one shoulder and the cross of Christ on the other. That is like trying to run in opposite directions at the same time.

As we walk in the counsels of God’s Word, faith surges, fears fade.

Our walk with God follows a pattern. Learn and embrace it.

The Word of God is the greatest lie detector in the universe. Those who use rightly are less susceptible to self-deception.

The call of Christ’s service begins with His service to us and then compels us to extend that service to one another and the world. Christ’s service to us cost Him his life. In our service to others we must be ready to give ours as well. Christ’s reward is exaltation above all. Our reward is to reign with Him.

It is the habit of some to bend the Scriptures to blend with the culture; our goal is to bend the culture to blend with the Scriptures.

In a confusing world of discordant voices where truth seems more elusive than Sasquatch, what a treasure of certainty and assured wisdom we possess in divine revelation. Even natural revelation, which is more limited in scope, speaks with compelling logic to all except the willfully deaf, dumb and blind.

Jesus Christ is the hope, and the only hope, of this lost world. Without Him, write it down---no hope, no help, no peace, no future, just a migraine of continuous futility. What if you had to wake up every morning to that empty reality? For without Jesus, the Savior of the world, this planet is on its own, adrift in a vast, dark sea of utter meaninglessness, purposelessness, insignificance and profound irrelevance. By contrast, we believers in Christ rejoice that in Him we have a redeemed life to celebrate, a glorious future to contemplate, and as we wait, a purpose and a passion to elevate and invigorate our temporal trek through this alien world.

If the Lord is on our side, no sweat. In the end there is no help nor hope for those who are not.
