If we’ve learned anything in recent months, it’s to appreciate the journey just as much as the destination. When it comes to modern travel, this idea couldn’t be more timely—just ask Lale Arikoglu.

As the Senior Lifestyle Editor of Condé Nast Traveler, Lale has combined her journalistic roots and love of travel to create a space that informs and inspires a global community. Most notably, Lale has taken her love for the travel community one step further by spearheading Women Who Travel, a podcast and editorial series that features perspectives from women from all walks of life.

This project alone keeps Lale in the know and on the go, but closer to home, Lale has been reckoning with the impact on the travel industry as a result of COVID-19. While she may not be able to jet-set around the globe as she once did, her conscious outlook is helping to rewrite a new story around traveling—and living—with more intention.
