We're excited to announce that the audiobook for Lance Lambert's book, "The Eternal Purpose of God," is now available! Over the next few weeks, we'll be releasing the first three chapters on this podcast. Today we’ll be listening to Chapter One.
In this chapter, Lance teaches that many Christians lack an understanding of God's eternal purpose, often viewing it as a theological concept that's irrelevant to daily life. However, the Bible, especially Paul's letter to the Ephesians, emphasizes this purpose as central to God's plan for the universe, humanity, and the redeemed. Paul describes God's eternal purpose, centered on Jesus Christ, as a profound revelation that believers are called to understand and live by. Paul prays for believers to receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation, emphasizing that knowing facts is not enough; wisdom is needed to apply those facts in life.

Today we’ll be listening to Lance’s reflection on Romans 12, focusing on presenting oneself as a living sacrifice to God. Lance emphasises the importance of surrendering one's self to God completely, including the new creation in Christ, as an act of true worship.
He highlights the challenges of consecrating the self to God and the struggle with old habits and nature. Lance also discusses the paradox of letting go to receive back in fullness, and the necessity of being transformed by the renewing of our mind. He points out the need for spiritually intelligent worship through presenting one's body as a living sacrifice to discover the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God and concludes with a call to offer such worship to the Lord and to seek His guidance in fulfilling His purposes in life.

In this episode, we’ll be listening to a sharing from Lance at the Christian Family Conference in Virginia in 2013. The theme of the conference was God is looking for a link. Lance was given the responsibility to share on Samuel. In his third message, he shared about Samuel’s life of intercession and the great need, not just for prayer, but for genuine and corporate intercession for the Lord’s will to be accomplished in these last days, for the Lord’s people to grow into maturity in Him, and for the Kingdom of Christ to be brought in.
May you give the Lord the first place in your life. May the Lord entrust His burdens to you. May you know the deep, deep love of Jesus.
