We shadow the Tricky Toe pickup, uncover whispers of a cave-drill expansion at the Heartworm Hotel, and set our sights on the greater underbelly at play. From there, the Quagmash swamp makes every step a survival choice. "You’re bringing a mascot costume to a toxic dive?” That’s just another day in Bogtown for our heroes in this episode of the Land of Eem Actual Play—a lighthearted yet high-stakes TTRPG adventure full of gangs, gators, and mutant mayhem.

We kick things off with a tense alleyway standoff against Bonnie Badapple that spirals into full-on chaos when the Copper Hats show up. A garbage can tumble, some questionable rolls, and a scrappy charm check later, and we’re on the run—hiding out at the Ciderhouse, patching wounds, and hatching a dangerous plan.

Fresh off their victory in apprehending a Tricky Toe gang member for Detective Underbrink, the heroes soon uncover a dangerous secret world of rival factions and outlawed performances. When Brendo is invited by the enigmatic Delora the Blue to perform at a clandestine bard show, the stage is set for a night of revelations, roleplay, and unforgettable music.

Meanwhile, Hooch’s infiltration of a shady flophouse uncovers a stolen scroll mapping the Tricky Toe gang’s leadership—pointing to three potential bosses across Quagmash, Bogtown, and beyond. But the highlight of the night arrives at Pandora’s Cider House, where Brendo shares the stage with legendary musician Rupert G. Doohagenberry, delivering the now-famous “Tube Steak Mind Blown” performance.

The celebration quickly turns chaotic when infiltrators from the rival Nork’s Noodle Gang attempt to sabotage the gathering with explosives, sparking a high-stakes confrontation. Through interrogation, the adventurers discover that the true power in Bogtown lies not with the mayor but with High Magistrate Orville Creech—mastermind of the Bard Mandate and shadowy ally of the gangs.

As tensions rise, the heroes hatch an audacious plan to infiltrate Bogtown’s factions, recover stolen Copper Hat badges, and perhaps gain access to Magistrate Hall itself. But can they survive playing all sides of this dangerous political game?

Welcome to Bogtown, where the streets are suspended over murky bogs, the cops wear copper helmets, and playing music can get you arrested. In this premiere episode of our new campaign, we meet Brendo Sim—a Welkin bard descended from the legendary lore-keeper Philo Sim—and Hooch Dundee—a three-foot-five mushroom rascal with a talent for creative fibbing.

When Hooch's prized man catcher is confiscated by the notoriously corrupt Copper Hats, our unlikely heroes embark on an audacious mission to infiltrate police headquarters. What follows is a masterclass in improvisation as Brendo dons a copper helmet and engages in locker room towel-whipping contests to blend in with the force, while Hooch convinces the police captain himself that he's just a maintenance worker concerned about a catastrophic mold outbreak in the evidence room.

Between rat-tail injuries, stolen evidence, and accidentally discovering the complex gang politics of Bogtown, our heroes somehow manage to impress Inspector Maisel Underbrink enough to join her Town Watch—a legitimate alternative to the corrupt Copper Hats. From a chance encounter with Sven the Yodeling Troll to a daring escape through a portal with the legendary Eye of Ek, our 63-episode Land of Eem Actual Play campaign has been nothing short of a whimsical TTRPG journey. This finale retrospective dives into the wildest moments of Riley and Galen’s adventures across the Mucklins—and the unforgettable cast of characters that grew out of dice rolls and chance encounters.

As we flip through George’s meticulous GM notes, we relive every twist: installing Sklunch as ruler of Orch Die, accidentally creating a nemesis by destroying Shade Wand’s witch lab, and forging lifelong bonds with NPCs like L’Barry Barriton and Zona Imbach. Land of Eem Actual Play | Season Finale – Eye of Ek, Volcano Showdown & the Door to Eppley

Trapped atop Mount Terror with enemies closing in, Riley and Galen face their most dangerous moment yet in this epic season finale of the Land of Eem Actual Play Podcast. As Ulfrex the Cruel and his army of Felmog Knights and Sarpathy warriors storm the mountain, our heroes must reach the volcanic treasure chamber before it's too late.

Evading the explosive Volcanoids, they uncover three ancient treasure chests—each brimming with magical items, strange relics, and one ominous prize: the Eye of Ek, a powerful serpent’s eye that radiates dread.

Among the other discoveries: Ratwalker’s Boots, a wandering garden, a magnificent slingshot, and the mysterious Book of Predatory Horticulture. But there’s no time to celebrate—battle echoes through the caverns as Ulfrex's forces close in.

In a moment of inspired improvisation, Galen uses the Rickety Curio of Infinite Doors, activating it with a tapestry depicting the long-lost city of Epoli. The pair escape through a portal, vanishing with the Eye of Ek and denying their enemies the artifact’s corrupting power.

This unforgettable ending concludes Riley and Galen’s 63-episode journey not with a final battle, but a bold escape—and a new beginning in the ruins of ancient Epoli.

Land of Eem Actual Play | Into the Volcano – Magma Monsters, Pirate Ambushes & the Truth About Weldar

Terror returns in this high-stakes episode of the Land of Eem Actual Play Podcast as Riley and Galen brave the deadly shores of Terror Island once more—this time with the reluctant Weldar in tow, a former villain now humbled in a tight Hawaiian shirt.

From their first steps back into the jungle, danger is relentless. A run-in with Yaljack pirates sends our heroes fleeing through uncharted terrain. Coastal waters prove no safer, as bubble geese—strange jellyfish-like creatures—create deadly vortexes that nearly pull Riley to her doom.

Amid the chaos, we glimpse a more personal side of the journey. Around the campfire, Weldar shares the tragic tale of his father, a fallen Felmog Knight, sparking rare compassion from Riley and cautious doubt from Galen.

The suspense peaks as the trio encounters a pterosaur nest. Armed only with knowledge from the Bearskin of Trivia, they attempt to outwit the creature by standing perfectly still—until their captive imp bolts, sealing its fate and sparing their own.
