This a book is pretty good, I recommend that this book is for 9 year olds and older. Is not that long, finished it in 40 minutes. So if u r looking for a book that is long, do not get it. About the quality, I like it,pretty interesting. Miss Skittles my piggy is turning 2 on February 14 2014!!

Smuggle this book into your middle schooler's room. Forbid your child to even read the first chapter. Your kid will devour this book. A hilarious suspense story, no, wait, a drama about kindness and fun, oh, and a madcap jumble run through a demented theme park aided by a not so nutty grandma and a mysterious mentor. What? Just get this and let your kid read it after you do.

The first Odd Squard, Bully Bait, is a corker too. Don't start reading the first chapter...

my son loved this book

my son is 9 and in the 4th grade and a bit hard to find books that he will find interest in, however, this one did the trick. we also got him the other Odd Squad book and he had them read in no time flat. definitely recommend!

Lenny lives with his father and Grandmother. His grandmother had moved in after Lennys mother died.

Lennys grandma has a magic cup and this is the story of that cup. Because this is such a short audiobook I dont want to give any of the story away.

This book is geared towards children from the ages of 8 and 10 years old. It is also a story with a moral. Grandmas magic cup has the ability to do many things, including healing the sick or injured. Grandma must teach Ned to use the cup only for helping others and never to harm.

The narrator does a good job of telling the story. It feels like someone reading the story to a child while the child is in bed getting ready to sleep for the night. I think both kids and adults alike will enjoy this short audiobook.

I rate it as 5 out of 5 stars.

The only complaint I have is the bland cover.

DON'T BUY!

This was the worst book I have ever read in my LIFE! It didn't even make sense! There were so many grammar problems I wouldn't even call it a book! Plus it was so boring I actually skipped to the end because I couldn't stand it. But hey, I'll give the author credit for ACTUALLY GETTING SOMEONE TO PUBLISH THIS!! Whoever did probably paid. Or was their parent. So if you're going to rent this of prime for free, you'll hate it but give it a try. But if you're going to but this, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Excellent for 5th graders

I read this to my students as part of my Holocaust instruction. I teach 5th graders, and I walk a fine line of being truthful without sugarcoating or being too graphic. This book was the second read aloud I did, after The Terrible Things, and it worked perfectly. My students analyzed the pictures and were thoughtful when I read the real account of what happened. We also had a discussion about author purpose so students could identify why the author wrote what she did and who was the intended audience.

Overall, this is an excellent resource. I was able to introduce the topic and then move onto additional content.

great account of The Night of Broken Glass for young readers

It shows the before and after for the lives of those living in Berlin both Jewish and non-Jewish. It depicts the emotion, damage, and fear that reigned that night. It has an excellent afterword with a non-fiction account of the event.

Lots of comprehension skill

Good to use during Jewish history month to teach a hard to understand concept to young people. Good also to use different perspectives for teaching the hard concept of perspective/ point of view

Empowering for Young (and older) Readers

A picture book about the Holocaust for young children is tricky to pull off but Elvgren expertly does so by taking a discrete incident that involves a secret, something that appeals to all of us. In Nazi-occupied Denmark, Anett's family is hiding a Jewish woman and her son. As the soldiers close in, Annet comes up with a way to guide the two through the night, past the soldiers, to a fishing boat that will take them to safety in Sweden. Based on a true event, this story shows young readers how people can band together to overcome the frightening obstacles imposed on them in a terrible time and still come out triumphant.

Engaging and makes for positive discussions with kids

My 10 year old son had the pleasure of reading this book. He loved the illustrations and like most boys, liked the mix of words and captivating visuals. But unlike most books, he actually thought about what he read and asked me further questions. He wanted to know where this took place, the historical theme and found the ending very positive and comforting. I recommend this book for parents that are looking for subtle, yet effective ways to teach important life lessons.

A good story told in a simple, concise manner.

When I read the description and reviews, I admit that I was expecting a more detailed picture book story than what is presented here. (I was thinking that maybe I would be surprised by a clever ending but it was more straight forward than that.) That being said, this is a good story. It is well-written and has interesting illustrations. The story is about how a family and eventually a town helps a Jewish family hide from the Nazis and escape to safety. This would be a good choice for a reader who may not have the attention span or maturity for a longer, sadder story but would still like to learn about WWII and have a discussion.

Couldn't stay awake for it

I love Lauren Oliver and have listened to most of her books. The delirium series I've listened to over and over. This one I'm afraid put me to sleep. I couldn't keep up with what was going on and it was just odd and muddled. Hope Lauren hasn't lost her touch.

Communication Breakdown, It's always the same

I will not tell you to much about the story because that would be spoiling it, but I will tell you that these two sisters became real and I cared for them enough that I felt sad when the book ended. The mystery in the story is about a lost little girl, and two sisters that can not communicate any more. The breakdown of a family that cares for each other but can not get it together enough to heal .

Well executed, and touching, with well developed characters and no morbose violence; much more than just a thriller.

The use of different voices was well achieved and did not distract from the story.

Chris O'Dowd is brilliant! His interactions with the characters were great. They both did a lovely job.

I laughed out loud when I listened to this at work. It was truly enjoyable and laughed so many times when I listened to the antics that were happening with the Moone family.

If you love the show, which is one of my favorites, then you'll love this book. It is geared towards a younger group but since I enjoyed the acting and writing of the show, I thought 'why shouldn't I read this?!?' I just loved it. It gave the tv show a back bone. Thank you O'Dowd for giving this Moone boy a life.

Chris O'Dowd is hilarious

Watched and greatly enjoyed the TV series but the book with Chris O'Dowd's narration makes the story infinitely more funny. I found myself laughing out loud throughout surely appearing like a lunatic to the rest of the world. More books read by Chris O'Dowd please!
