Abbi Glines writes the most addicting books!!

Abbi writes books that are absolutely addicting. Once youve read an Abbi Glines book youll be hooked for life. This is not a light and easy romance. It deals with dark issues and struggles. It's heartbreaking and heartwarming. Tragic and hopeful. Weakness and Strength. Passion. Fear. Anxiety. Lust. Love.Woods and Della. Della is so broken. Shes a shattered girl trying to find herself in a world that she has no idea how to live in. After a torturous childhood Della is given the opportunity by her best friend to go out into the world and find herself. She needs to learn to be independent and to find some sort of freedom from a childhood that haunts her every moment. Della just wants to experience all the ups and downs that go with a normal life. Woods is working hard to take over the family business. He wants the vice president job but his father will only allow this if he agrees to an arranged marriage. He unhappily agrees until Della and Woods lay eyes on each other itsLUSTat first sight. The chemistry is addictive! This book was seriously hot. And sweet. And passionate. And full of love, and self discovery, and self acceptance. In other words, it was simply amazing. Once again, I am blown away at how much I love the worlds Abbi creates. Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This was an okay story. I was excited to hear Woods' story, but was disappointed with the story. I really enjoyed the first 2 books in the series, but wasn't blown away with this one, so much so, I won't be buying the next book in this series

I felt it was a weak story line. Woods is a strong character, but the story was okay, not my favorite

Distracted by narrator

Not a bad story, may have been ok if I'd read it rather than listening. This audio book, however, had a strange narration style that distracted me from the story. For example, in some places it was obvious that a sentence had extended onto a new line or new page because of odd pauses between words that was in no way related to what was being said.

Both versions are really good.

Emma! I loved her determination and courage.

I loved when Emma met Max's brother for the first time. He had some great things to say about Max!

There are a few scenes that were moving between Max and his family or between Max and Emma.

I love this series and each book can be enjoyed as a standalone. The Callaway's are a great family!

I skipped a lot of this book. Repetitive, and annoying. I'm not sure why I didn't dump it except that I feel that is giving up which goes against my nature. But it's hours I'll never get back:-(

What made the experience of listening to Nightingale Way the most enjoyable?

I both read and listened to Nightingale Way and Kathe Mazur always brings the characters and story to life. I hope she will continue to narrate the Eternity Spring Books as well as many more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Nightingale Way?

There are lots of them...you'll have to listen and find out.

There were quite a few. I won't give anything away, but conversations at the hot springs....and a mystery revealed were two of my favorites.

I have enjoyed listening to all the Eternity Springs books and I will listen to them again. You don't have to listen to the stories in order, but I highly recommend it.

I am so tired of a meddling family/town pushing two people together, they fight it and well, you know the ending. I liked the characters real well and Ms McMannus did a good job of narration, but sorry, I need more.

Light read- not a page turner series

Have more intense parts, more of a plot, conflict - a page turner excitement was lacking.

Pamela Clare is one of my favorite authors and this series is incredible!!! It is probably best that all of the books in this series didn't release at the same time, because I would have lost my job and entire life put on hold!!

A BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED PERFECT ROMANCE

Everyone loves a hero and that's exactly what Nate is but unfortunately he's been mentally and physically scarred in Afghanistan, Megan has mental scars too so when they meet sparks fly and it's followed by a tender, sweet, emotional, powerful romance.

Nate gives Megan the time, patience and support needed for her to overcome her past and finally move on and she shows him tenderness and compassion as she sees past his scarred body - so really they heal each other (with the help of a snow storm and Jack). There's also danger, tension, action suspense and drama from Megan's drugged up ex and the villains he owes money to and despite having so many Alpha men around willing and ready to protect her she still becomes a victim of violence once again.

Some loveable supporting characters and get your tissues ready for a tearjerker of an epilogue.

There's an additional bonus short story (about 30 mins) about some of the I Team making a beer run in the middle of having a family BBQ which is hilarious with plenty of action too that's a great little addition to an already perfect listen.

Worth a credit? Oh Yes it's a must have.

Yes, and have. Would have liked the story to be longer, more detailed like others. Glad author wrote about people that weren't directly members of I Team but yet related. Narrator does a wonderful job with voices and conveying emotion.

Double Chapters

It would have been a really wonderful book, if it was not for the fact that 4 different chapters were repeated e.g. chapter 1 & 2 were the same. So parts of the book got lost in this process. Maybe a better quality control should be put into place for the audible publishers.

Nice story, but recording errors

Some chapters recorded twice. Storyline is good. Enjoyed the book. Just skip the duplicate chapters to follow story.

Don't expect Fool's Gold

Susan Mallery books are among my favorites reads (listens). But if you're expecting the same tone as the Fool's Gold series you might be disappointed. I really liked the characters in this book (though not in the first book of the series) and was so involved I found myself crying all the time. That's the difference - there is a heavier or more serious tone to this book. Reminded me of Kristan Higgins' books.

She did a good job with different character voices. Would prefer the same narrator in series as the characters come alive. That said there was very little mention and involvement of the characters from the first book in the series so a different reader was ok.

Made me sad and depressed to hear all the abuse both physical and mental from generation to generation.

WOW rip me open!

This book has it all. From one extreme emotion to the next. Any woman cant help but to identfy with one of the women from this story. I know for me it covers alot of the thoughts that mothers ( esp young mothers) think and are either told not to talk about or feel ashamed that they felt that way. Brings to light that HEY I am not the only one who may feel like this.......

I think it is a must read for any woman in a relationship, trying for a new one, or is just a mother who feels like she has to fix the world for her family and the issues with being the savior so to speak. Dont forget to grab the tissues this book will make you cry and normaly I am not a cryer lol.

What a difference a narrator makes

What made the experience of listening to All He Ever Desired the most enjoyable?

Shannon Stacey's outstanding writing of the Kowalski family saga continues in "All He Ever Desired." It felt like I had a first row seat to the love and struggles of Ryan and Lauren. it was exciting, suspenseful and very enjoyable.

What did you like best about this story?

Like all the Kowalski books, I like that love is found at home. It is sweet and romantic.

What three words best describe Lauren Fortgangs voice?

Lauren should have listened to the voices of the characters in the previous book. Her voice was fine but you had to re-identify the voices you had already become comfortable with.

No extreme reaction but I enjoyed the twist.

Light Listening

This is a typical cute and predictable romance story. I did enjoy the fact that one of the main characters was a divorced mother with a teenager. That gave the couple an interesting trail to work through. The plot also leads a forehead slapping moment when both the teen son and difficult ex-husband discover the couple in bed.

Jim Frangione and Jennifer Ikeda have done both genders better. Im sure there are others.

It was not the book itself!! I will read it and comment later but the narrator made me; how do I describe it? Shuddered, flinched. The feeling? How about; Not right, ugh, NOO, ill, turn it off. I know, Annoyed; like screeching on a chalk board for me. Im sure the narrator is great for many other books but not this one.

I read Siren and liked it, not a romance in the sense I would place it but a good enough story that I wanted to read the series. I thought I would read some and listen to some but that is not going to happen and I used a credit. Geez, and to think this is my first review. I am really sorry, but I was compelled to comment. Save your credit and just read the hard copy on this one. At least dont ignore the sample listening like I did; if it does not do it for you, your probably right and if it doesnt then youll have no problem.

Terrible Narrator

Would you listen to The Angel again? Why?

NO, the narrator was just terrible. The Saint and The King were narrated by Elizabeth Hart and she did a fantastic job.

I can't pick just one. Eleanor, Sren and Kingsley were excellent. They are the Original Sinners.

Seriously??

This book was NOT what I would consider good. If the author wanted to write soft porn, she did a good job of it. I wish she'd have put as much effort into the plot & the scenes where they weren't having sex as she did in those where they were. I've never heard quite so much "description" and so many words used in 99% of the books I've read/listened to, and trust me, I've read A LOT! Unless you're looking for mindless nothing to fill up your time, I'd suggest you skip this one. I wish I had.. what a waste of time & money!

This is the most endearing wonderful story. Loved it! I want more. beautifully done. wow!

Exciting

Action packed, mysterious, surprise twist at the end. thoroughly enjoyable. Fantastic love scenes. A must read!

Great book

Loved every moment of this book. A love story that makes one drool.

A clever, level headed, sexy young lady falls head over heels in love with a strong and sexy guy and of course it's the story of Romeo and Juliet all over again ... Except that this time it has a very happy ending.

The narration was excellent too. You know it's good when you know who's doing the talking without being told.

All in all, a good marriage of excellent writing and narration. I'm sure it will thrill and entertain you too!

Struggling to Finish

I've read Jennifer Blake before and saw this book in the sale items so thought I would give it a listen. I don't know if I can finish. It is really boring. The writing is very descriptive about boring things like the food at an event and the scenery. (This is not what I particularly like)There is a connection between Reid and Camilla and a long family history but it was just boring. There was a hook up at the beginning of the book and now almost 4 hours in I am still waiting for something exciting to happen. I am struggling to finish as I keep waiting and thinking ok it will get better. I feel like there are a lot of random characters in the book and that the plot does not move along with any sense of purpose. I know this is supposed to be a romantic book but it still needs some kind of plot. I will try to finish but I would not hold my breath on that. You know it is not good when your mind wanders and you lose 10 min of listening but don't bother to rewind.
