What I liked about the novel.....

I thought this was a good love story of Anna Davis and Cole Taylor and you will find once you start reading it you will not want to put it down until the end. The main part of this storyline was of Cole's who was a football player's dying grandmother wanting to see him married and settled down with a 'good girl.' How was Cole to make that happen when he date everything but 'good girls'? For Anna who had been in Vegas for his sister's wedding seemed to the odd girl in the family...being boring as oh yes very predicable. What will she do to break out of this shell that she seems to be in? Well she meets Cole and this is where this story take off. Is this the 'good girl' that Cole needs to help him pull of this situation for his grandmother? What will happen as Anna finds out more about Cole as they will be united in Holy Matrimony? Will this marriage last since it looks like this is a marriage of convenience? There will be a lots going on in this read for these two as they bring in their family and friends into their situation. You will just have to pick up this good read to see for yourself how this author will bring out "Game For Love" to the readers. It will a very interesting read seeing how these two will break down their walls with each other. I found the read a sweet , humorous read and also I do not want to fail to mention the hot steamy sex scenes that seem to explode off the pages.

Would I recommend? Yes, this is another one of this author's good love stories!

What disappointed you about Game For Love?

Too many sex scene, not enough of the story line. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate sex scene but come on, let get to the plot of the story.

What was most disappointing about Bella Andres story?

I love Bella Andre's love stories they are so romantic. But this was so disappointing to me. The story line was good but it could have been better.

What does Eva Christensen bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Eva always reads Bella's story. We need to change the narrator, I keep thinking I'm listening to the Sullivan's books.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Game For Love?

Cut the sex scene in half and give more of the story. I love the characters in the story it was cute.

I was very disappointed in this book. I enjoy a good story line with some erotica. it seemed like she overdid it completely leaving out mystique, build up and totally predictable.

James Patterson where are you?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I got this book to listen to on a long car trip and did not really have any other option at the time or I might have turned it off. It really reminded the people in the car of a poorly written The Fault in Our Stars.

What could James Patterson and Emily Raymond have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The book seemed way too unrealistic. If they had not taken so many liberties with the crime spree it might have been a little better. Also, his parents were a little to accepting of the spontaneous return home. I'm not sure if this book was supposed to be a young adult novel or not, but it definately belongs in that category and should be marketed directly to young adults (aka teenagers).

What about Lauren Fortgangs performance did you like?

Lauren Fortgang made the book tolerable. She is a talented reader.

Do you think First Love needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I am not really interested in the further tales of Axi.

Any additional comments?

I wish James Patterson would contribute a little more of his style to some of the books he is lending his name to.

Maybe...if she doesn't try to be a teenage boy again. It wasn't convincing and distracting at first.

A Favorite Reread

I love this book. I've reread it many times. I was extremely worried about listening to a favorite read; I didn't know if my imagined emphasis and voices would interfere with my reading enjoyment. I was wrong. I prefer more than one narrator, but this work was well done. The story still caught my attention and nothing was too distracting. The only thing I didn't care for were a few of the voices. Ryan (Spencer's best friend) sounded a little whiny to me, but I was able to get over it.

i really enjoyed this book each chapter kept getting bwtter I just wish it had been longer.

Loved the Narrarator. She is amazing.

The characters came to life under the skillful voice acting. The story was great, and the author had rich character development.

I won't say that I didn't enjoy the book because I did but the ending left me wanting more. It was abrupt with in my personal opinion and I'm complete storyline. It would have been nice to know what happened to Christy and the end and where that left Brandon. But once again I'm not saying it wasn't a good book it is definitely worth the read I would have just liked a little more information to complete the story.

I do not usually read books with a cliffhanger.. BUT, this series is an exception. Spencer and Brandon are so hot!! I love their characters. There is just enough drama and suspense in this series that will make you want to read the next book. I can feel the love of Brandon for Spencer, and vise versa. I am a big fan of this author and the narrator..

Scary, Amazing, Gritty, Captivating Love Story

First, I just want to warn you that this story is absolutely NOT for the faint hearted. Unbeautifully is the heart wrenching, frustrating, intense and ultimately beautiful story of Danny & Ripper. Aside from Danny and Ripper's story, we also get a background story with scenes from Eva and Deuce's POV. After what happened with Frankie, the guy who singlehandedly ruined a dozen people's lives, both of them are still struggling to go back to the way things were before Frankie. I loved the fact that Eva & Deuce still had a big part in this story and that they eventually get the HEA they both deserve so much. This book continues after Undeniable, and going back to where Danny and Rippers story starts. As an eighteen year old girl, Danny feels lonely and miserable after everything that happened with her family. Her mother left her at an early age and her father Deuce, although he loves her and would do anything to protect his children, isn't exactly a role model kind of dad which pretty much left her and her brother Cage to grow up by themselves. All these events have made her into a strong, mature young woman, but at the same time she's also struggling to find out what to do with her life. Horrible narration

What would have made Dark Witch better?

The narration of the story was so off putting that I couldn't even sit through the first 5 minutes of the book before I had to shut it off. If it had a different narrator I might be able to listen to it. Also not very happy that it is an abridged reading. Most Nora Roberts books are not very long so why do they need to be abridged when done in audiobook format?

What didnt you like about Katherine Kellgrens performance?

She seemed very over dramatic and she rushed quite a few of the lines on top of yelling them making it very hard to really understand what was being said.

I love the story line. I hated all the yelling..

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator made me feel like Iona was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. She made her sound like an idiot, constantly repeating lines loudly. All her voices for the other characters made them sound like old people. I don't think I have ever heard anything worse. I didn't even know they were supposed to be young for the first 4 chapters of the book.

I pray that the second book has a better narrator. I love Nora Roberts and I'm surprised she didn't make sure it had the right narration. Even though the narration was awful, I love the story and will read the 2nd book. I will review on the next narrator.

I could not recommend this audio - it was next to impossible for me to hear the narrator's mus-use in over acting! The accent/Irish was somewhat bearable but the emotional portrayal to what the character was supposed to be going through took so much away from the story that I couldn't get into what was actually happening.

Read don't listen.

I did a combination of reading and listening to this book. the story is a fairly predictable modern romance and worth the fluff ready. The recording was really annoying because of the lilt of the voice. Listen to a sample before purchasing.

Very disappointing

I had to force myself to finish listening to it. I am not sure if it was because I found the narrator very difficult to listen to. I would certainly not buy anything else narrated by Angela Dawe.

Just when this book was getting good, it was over. Libby is a humiliatingly unemployed event planner newly returned from Chicago to her small town and back in with the parents. Tom is a widowed contractor with a surly teenager. The two meet when Libby's retired father decides to renovate an old building.This book was slow and felt incomplete, as though the author had the bare bones of the premise and was working on filling it in when she hit deadline. Seriously. This could so much have benefitted from a little more to the plot and characters. Where were this woman's beta readers?

Okay, so the premise is a woman moves back home and meets a man who needs to, emotionally, move on. While not terribly original, it has potential. The characters were pretty much one-dimensional, and the story sort of went in fits and starts, going in interesting directions, then petering out. I was left with so many what-ifs, I have decided that I just need a whole 'nother book altogether.

So, what did we get? To me, it felt like an outline that needed to be fleshed out and edited. There were so many ways this book could have gone to take it above more than an average read. But hey, the grammar and spelling were great!

I generally like Angela Dawe as a narrator, but not so much with this performance. It just comes off as amateurish, without much differentiation between characters. I thought maybe this was an early performance, but that isn't the case. Well, I guess everyone's entitled to an off day every once in a while.

Horrible narration but a good story

The story was a fun and easy story but the narration was horrible. At times it was lifeless and boring and the change of voices was amateur-ish as if it was a young child trying to fool their

parents on the phone.

I would rate it zero. I don't wish to listen, I prefer to read. Since reading alone was not allowed I skipped the whole thing.

Propositioning Mr. Raine, coyly performed by Liz Chastain, is fun steamy erotica thats pure fantasy - for better or worse. Dont expect anything other than to be mildly titillated by this tale. But hey, at least its not boring.

How do you proposition a cowboy? Quick and hard!

Would you consider the audio edition of Propositioning Mr. Raine to be better than the print version?

I think they are equally awesome. This is one of my favorite Laurann Dohnner books because the people are more real. Instead of cyborgs and new species (which I love as well) I can sit back and feel like I am a part of the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Trina, because she is the most loyal woman ever. She never puts her dead husband down, even if he was sadly lacking. She is heroic in the fact that she finds the courage to try and make a new life when he dies and she is everything that Navarro needs in his life.

Have you listened to any of Liz Chastains other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to anything by Liz Chastain before, but I have already downloaded the second book in the series and will be listening to it soon.

I really enjoyed this audio book as I have always enjoyed this book period. It is racy and has some very explicit sex scenes. No one under the age of 18 should listen to this book.

Great, wonderful and famed sexy

I have read this book several times and listened on audiobook a couple times too. I thought I left a review. But it is a favorite of mine and Liz Chastain did a wonderful job on narration of the book. I really wish you would continue with the other RAINE brothers. I have read and listened to River and loved it but I think Drake and Dusty and Ryder need their HEA. Oh, can't forget the two " blood brothers" either. Recommend girly

Missed it by that much...

I really wanted to like this story. The premise seemed promising and I assumed it could lead to a cute and maybe amusing romance story. It almost did. I liked the main male character.

Tissue Please.

I wish/hope people take a chance with this series so not my usual books. I am so happy and now cant wait to pick up the next book.

I also want to leave a fyi for those that dont have the romance package with audible, it is a must and easy way to find new author that you would not pick up.

Loved it. A few sad moments had me in tears. Such a good read/listen. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

relatable.....

I really liked this book, I think it was relatable for a lot of women. (except come of the graphic intimate scenes haha) Daniel was so patient and tender but never weak and Beth wasn't a whiney victim. My favorite part was when the oldest boy called Daniel dad. Once again, the narrator did I an amazing job!

BEAUTIFUL WELL-WRITTEN HHHOT LOVE STORY

Two people with emotional scars find each other in this well written, heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable listen about family, patience, second chances and love.

When Beth moves to Rocky Mountain and meets Daniel again their story starts off with her just wanting 'non-missionary' sex and, of course, he's only too happy to oblige but he's looking for more from her too - friendship and companionship at least. Daniel's one hot, sexy cowboy but Beth, along with her 3 boys, brings out his thoughtful, loving, tender and caring side and you just can't help but love him for that but Beth's just not ready to trust again.

Their building relationship takes place over the span of a year and in that time their sweet, erotic, touching story encompasses family traumas and sub-plots, the opening of old wounds, secrets shared, some hot sexual chemistry and so they finally begin to heal each other.

Mega Swoon Worthy New Adult Romance

College student Taylor is forced to have Hunter(a guy) as her new roommate. Taylor becomes a bit freaked out by this since she doesn't trust guys. Hunter uses his witty flirty banter and from there the story truly begins. Hunter & Taylor have amazing chemistry. The LOL witty banter & sexual tension kept me engaged the entire time.This book is full of sexual tension, bickering, and a ton of teasing. Hunter can be described as not only really hilariously funny but he's a tattooed, guitar playing, singing hunk of sexiness who is also honest, confident, and not afraid to show his feelings. As their relationship starts deepening, things start getting more complicated, and the sexual tension builds to epic proportions. Hunter has definite feelings for Taylor and has no problem with expressing it but Taylor built protective walls around herself thanks to a secret from her past. She is terrified of relationships, guys in general, so keeps resisting him. Both are actually battling with secrets from their past, and soon these hidden things starts to impact their friendship until it all comes crashing out and.... then finally the chemistry can't be denied any longer. They fall deeply in love!! Hunter tries to be supportive in helping Taylor over come her issues, begin her healing process so she can move forward in life. This story is refreshing first love kind of romance, a little steamy, swoon worthy, and definitely had its LOL moments. More than anything its about breaking down walls, building trust, sharing a bond, devotion, healing and building a deep connection.

them both...this story line was long on hate/disfunction and short on love/healing. It had potential for a great story but it was just O.K.

Just another Billionaire who needs a wife....

Book was an ok listen, but nothing really grabbed my attention to keep me focused. Billionaire needs wife, picks employee and it goes on and on from there. Good for a beach listen or while taking a long drive.

Can I get the 5 hours of my life back?

Serves me right for buying a book with the word billionaire in the title. Bad writing and bad narration made this a totally painful experience. I feel like I wasted time and money on pure crap.

Writing:

It felt like three different people wrote this story and didn't really ask the other to keep up with the storyline. The first third of this story is this billionaire Canadian who is basically an illegal alien and needs to get a wife for Inmigration purpose. So far so good and it was like any other Harlequin type novel.

Then the second third he starts taking his new fake wife to a restaurant that they used to go when he was a child (wait, wasn't he from Canada?)

The last third is when the book gets REAL ridiculous. It felt like the author just finished reading Fifty Shades Freed and decided to incorporate Christian Grey's BDSM play into the story. There were very similar parts integrated. Even when the previous submissive came back into the picture. But in this story it didn't make sense and felt very disconnected.

This story is all over the place and there is no real conflict because they never break up or have a huge fight or anything. The love connection wasn't there either. All in all one of the worst audible titles I've ever bought.

Narration:

Holy breathy narration! What's up with that. Breath! There was too much whispering and breathy narration to make this book enjoyable. I know the storyline was pathetic but the narration did not make it better at all. Skip this one.
