When it comes to her heart, Arabella D'Angelo has moved on - even though she still lives in Mirror Lake, Connecticut, a little tourist town with a long memory for mistakes. Ever the dutiful daughter of a cantankerous widower who holds grudges, Bella has spent the past twelve years raising her younger brother and making a name for herself as a successful psychologist. Now, when she isn't counseling a lonely-hearts club for senior women, she's humoring her matchmaking girlfriends. Bella resists the romancing of their blind dates, yet her friends hope she'll fall for a local and scrap plans for a fresh start in Chicago.
Then, just before Bella's thirtieth birthday, her first love, Roman Spikonos, returns to Mirror Lake. When he moves next door to her family's garden-center business to run his grandparents' orchard, it stirs up gossip - and a tempest of passions - just in time for pumpkin harvest. As Roman and Bella once again get caught up in a swirl of desire and heartache, not to mention her overprotective father's fury, Mirror Lake will soon find out whether the Italian hometown beauty and her unforgettable Greek god can stand a second chance.

So-so book and 10 star narration..
Im afraid I didnt love it like most of the reviewers did. I mean at 18 you could just feel the love these two had for each other but she hands him some crap about how she wants some freedom, yada, yada, yada, and off he goes. THEN when he comes back 12 years later Bella acts like Romans the one who hurt her and shes a total jerk. I dont get that kind of writing, really. So, we fill 284 pages with angst and misunderstanding and lies? No OMG moments or anything. And I wasnt crazy about the twelve years earlier that kept coming up in every few chapters, then nine years earlier. Together with her lies and Bella choosing her mean old father and brother over Roman, I didnt get that either. Way too much angst in this book for me. I did find myself skimming and thats never a good thing.
Bella was 30 years old and she still felt the need to hide it when she and Roman started having sex again? Thats just silly! Thats the gist of this book. There was no mystery, no nothing, just angst, misunderstandings and lies. And too many pages of all that. At 85% my skimming got faster so I could be done. These kinds of books would be better if the author would just add a little bit of mystery, something that made a reader want to hurry and turn that page to see what was going to happen next, rather than trying to finish faster. Thats just my opinion.
I did like Roman and his brothers Lukas and Drew, and their backstory was interesting, too. And I really liked the Thursday night therapy session, Effie, Alethea, Glory and Fran. And I liked Ethan, even if he was a little needy.
There was desire in this book and explicit sex. The F-bomb was used 4 times.
As to the narrator: Simply fabulous! Amy McFadden mens voices were great and her womens voices were wonderful; young, old, Italian accent, Greek accent, all different and all unbelievable. Shes become my favorite female narrator. She made this so-so story worth listening to. Her emotions when reading are phenomenal. I would give her 10 stars to Amy McFaddens reading of this book if I could.
    Lovely
    vey great love story
    nice families coming together
audio did a good job of recording
    Best one yet!

Life is full of expectations. For Brady Coldwell, it's always been about the game. Hockey is, and always will be, his life. His family sacrificed everything to get him here, and he won't let them down. He knows what's expected of him.
Natalie Banks is no different. She too knows what it means to have everyone sacrifice for you. She knows about the debt that's owed in the end, and the price you pay for making up your own mind.
But when an innocent mistake lands Brady and Natalie as roommates, neither of them is prepared for the feelings they have, or the consequences of their actions.
How do you negotiate matters of the heart? How do you say no when it simply feels so right?

    Good light sport romance story.
Good light read, would've love to know what happens next though. Great narrators and liked the way the authors wrote the story. Will look for more of their work.
    good read.
Good read. not the best ive ever read but worth the credit spent on it. wish the female lead would grow a spine with her mother though.
    Charming
What did you love best about Roommates?
I really enjoyed the back and forth as well as the slow building to true emotions for each other
What was one of the most memorable moments of Roommates?
    The punch.
What does Elizabeth Hart and Eric London bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
They did a great job at performing. I really felt the characters.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Sometimes your own voice should be loudest.
    Any additional comments?
This was a great listen. Loved the characters and the narration.
    Good, Lighthearted Fun
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I stayed up till 6 am finishing this book and easily could have finished it in one sitting. I love that it was a lighthearted, low drama romance. I liked that it didn't skirt past the sex but also seemed to have some depth to the story. It can be hard to find a good book with both!
    1 Shade of Alabaster
My eyes rolled up into my lids and stayed there permanently throughout this listen. Of course, Nat is stunning, with a tiny, incredible body, long luscious blonde hair, and blue eyes. Of course, in addition to being a pool shark, she's also quite the skilled gamer... why, she even slays the pro hockey players at their own game when playing Xbox NHL! Everyone loves them some Nat. She's sexy, yet church-girl innocent.
Of course, Brady is stunning, with a tall, incredible physique, long luscious eyelashes and dark features. Of course, he's a whoring NHL-primed hockey player. Guess what happens next when their friends trick them into co-habitation? Oh, and did I mention their best friends are rich, famous, jet-setting socialites?
The sex scenes are weirdly pornographic. I'm no prude, however they seem overly graphic and incongruous with the rest of the content, as though the author is attempting to satisfy the Midwest housewife contingent, the ones who lapped up that 50 Shades drivel.

"A rock star with no rhythm is a man with no soul." - Stone Lockhart
As the lead singer of one of the hottest bands to hit the rock scene, f--ks are free, drugs come easy, and music is life.
For as long as Stone can remember, Willow has been his music - the notes that weave his soul together. His rhythm.
    Until he threw her away.
All he has left is a handful of pills and a few lines of powder to make him forget her. And he tries, over and over.
Clean and ready to make things right, he's faced with the fact that Willow's moved on. She's not the same girl he cast aside. Willow's a woman sure about her purpose in life. Sure about who she's meant to love.
Stone may be lost without his rhythm, but Willow has found so much more.
    Members Reviews:
    Fantastic narration
I want all of the audio book production companies to take notes. The production for this was sensational I love how they alternated the voices while in the different POV's; made for very consistent story telling. Wen has a beautiful voice, I could listen to him read a phone book. Perfect for stone and all of the other male characters.
Now for they story; my heart torn into pieces for Willow. It really sucks when you're being treated like crap by someone you love. I commend her for leaving and starting over. But I also commend Stone for wanting to get better. However it should not have taken Willow leaving for him to realize that. The constant infidelity was not okay and I found it a little hard to accept that he really cared about her. Mandi Beck did a good job. Normally I'm not into musician stories but this story had dimension, I was completely captured.
Beautiful, Gripping Emotional Story & Performance!
Mandi Beck surprised and impressed me with such a well written emotional story. I love it when authors can write a story powerful enough to make me feel all the emotions the characters are experiencing. The plot, characters and depth exceeded all my expectations, and I fell in love with this amazing second chance love story. It was heart-breaking, heart-warming and had a powerful underlining message about addiction, forgiveness, and unconditional love. Stone and Willow's journey wasn't easy but their story took me on an unforgettable ride filled with hurt, drama, angst, love and forgiveness, and left a lasting impression stamp on my heart. I know I will revisit this story many times in my thoughts, well worth five stars. Bravo Mandi for beautiful gripping emotional story that was perfectly narrated!
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross performance rocked! The extra effort this duo put into their performance could easily be felt and heard throughout the story. Not only did they delivered on the characters, emotions and the various tones, but they narrated from the male/female dialogue and not just from the m/f POV's. Their performance really made this an incredible audio experience, and I enjoyed every minute. Kudos!
Stoned was well worth the time and credit and is a great choice for those who love stories that will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride and throw in a few surprising twist. I will definitely be on the lookout for more stories by Mandi Beck, and audios narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross.
    Great book with AMAZING narration!!!
I loved this book! I loved that this story was more original and the characters grew so much from the beginning to the end of the story.

Erin: Cinderella had it easy. I'm lying to millions of people, and it's all Silas's fault.
Yes, that Silas. Billionaire, prince, scandals galore, downright royal bastard - everything that screams run. If only it weren't for his rock-hard edges and wild tattoos, tempting anything female on all seven continents.
But I don't care about his looks. Really. Our deal is simple. He needs a pretty little lie, a wife to cover up his dirty deeds. I need a fortune to buy the treatment that just might save my father's life.
Silas: It's almost perfect. An engagement with an American girl, desperate as she is beautiful. Anything goes with Erin, except one rule: Her body's off limits. She's joking, right?
I convinced her to wear my ring, easy. I'll get her clothes off next. Show her what the world's most infamous player does when he's on fire. Then I'll move on. No more playing castle. I'll have my princess with benefits on her knees, treating me like royalty.
    Critic Reviews:
"Highly entertaining.... Another wonderful Nicole Snow read." (Musings From An Addicted Reader)
    Members Reviews:
    Royally Ever After!
I'm a fan of Nicole Snow's biker series, so when I noticed she had a new contemporary romance released in audio, I had to give it a try and download it. Prince Silas Erik Berington lives up to his reputation as a playboy and has earned the titles Prince Hung, Prince Scandal and many more. He's arrogant, good looking, full of himself, and all the women around him want to fall into his bed hoping to be the next princess. Even with his character flaws, he realizes his bad reputation is putting the monarchy at risk.
    Some Spoilers:
Erin Warwick and her father travel across the Atlantic so her father can interview the Prince. During the interview, Mr. Warwick collapses in front of everyone, and Erin rushes on stage, trips and falls right into the Prince's arms. Catching Erin in his arms, they have a brief moment where they connect, but her father is soon rushed to the local hospital where he receives some grave news.
After the interview, the Prince starts to devise a plan to improve his image in the public's eye, and keep his "real" lifestyle out of the limelight, and what better way to improve your image and show stability than a marriage. Well, a fake marriage at least, and he knows the perfect person to propose to, Erin Warwick.
Erin's desperate to ensue her father receives the best care, and the Prince's offer is her best option, so she agrees to be his fake princess, and soon a contract is drawn up. Erin insist there's a "no sex" clause, but from the moment the Prince proposes the fake marriage, his desires for Erin grow, and he uses all his charms, dirty talk, and "gifts" to get Erin in his bed.
The narration by Isabelle Gordon and John Lane was great! John really delivered on Prince Silas's arrogant personality. I would definitely listen to either of these narrators again.
Prince With Benefits was a really good story, with lots of drama and steamy sex scenes. I'm glad I took a chance on this story, and will be on the lookout for future audiobooks by Nicole Snow.
    Well hung Prince
I love Prince Silas.Such a cocky bastard with a no nonsense attitude. Erin is too childish for me.

    Title: A SEAL's Vow
Subtitle: SEALs of Chance Creek, Book 2

Length: 8 hrs and 3 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 08-26-16
    Publisher: Cora Seton

    Publisher's Summary:
Navy SEAL Clay Pickett needs a wife, fast, or he'll lose the model sustainable community he and his friends came home to Chance Creek to build. He's got just the woman for the job in mind: sexy, sensitive Nora Ridgeway. Too bad she's not interested in rushing to the altar.
When Nora leaves her job as a school teacher to open a Jane Austen Bed and Breakfast with her friends - and finally get a chance to write her novel - she's relieved to escape the escalating threats of violence from an unknown student stalker, and more than a little interested in the Navy SEAL who's after her heart. But when trouble starts stalking her at Chance Creek, Nora begins to wonder if she's left her past behind after all.
Can Clay and Nora find a way to be together when everything is trying to tear them apart?
    Members Reviews:
    Just ok
I love these stories and the sex scenes are fantastic if a bit short. I just dont like when they resist for stupid reasons. Need more after the wedding information.
    A Seal's Vow
What made the experience of listening to A SEAL's Vow the most enjoyable?
The story seems more real having it read out loud. The voices seem clearer and the scenes are like watching a movie in my head.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A SEAL's Vow?
When Clay almost lost Nora to the bad guy. He knew if he lost Nora it would destroy him. He really loved her even though she had treated him and everyone else in such an awful, mean way.
    Which scene was your favorite?
The ending where Clay and Nora are in their little house. I can't really say much more without giving too much away. Nora finally showed a sweeter side of who she was.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes although I got so frustrated with Nora I needed a break from her.
    Any additional comments?
I really enjoy Ms Seton's books but this was my least favorite not because it wasn't a good story but because I really disliked Nora. From book 1 she has been an awful person, she never had anything good to say, always negative. Not only was she mean to Clay and the men in the story she was very mean to her friends. There is plenty of suspense in this story that keep me listening but I'm glad I'm done with Nora's story. I will continue with this series as I want to find out how the community turns out and how the other guys "get their girl".
    This story had me engaged
I loved this story from the beginning to the end. It is well written and you would love Clay and Nora.
    Awesome!
If you could sum up A SEAL's Vow in three words, what would they be?
    Romantic
    Suspenseful
    Wonderful
What other book might you compare A SEAL's Vow to and why?
    Not sure.
What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
He was a great voice for the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was always rooting for Clay to win Nora over.
    Clay and Nora
This is the second book in Cora Setons SEALs of Chance Creek series. It can definitely stand alone, but the story is richer for having read A SEALs Oath first. In this story, Clay is a former SEAL, part of a group building a sustainable community on a TV reality show. While not happy about the TV aspect, Clay is determined to design and build the little houses for the community.

Contains Better When It Hurts and Even Better - the complete story of Blue and Lola! Fair warning: Blue is a sexy bastard and a dirty talker.
    Better When It Hurts
Five years ago Blue was the ultimate bad boy. And my first kiss.
Now he's back. Tougher, harder, meaner. All of it aimed at me, because I was the one who sent him away. It's payback time. He wants his pound of flesh, and I am helpless to say no.
    Even Better
A story about how coming together can break us apart...
An old military friend of Blue's comes to stay with us, and suddenly I have two muscled men surrounding me. Before I can take a breath, we're diving into something dirty together - something dangerous. Dangerous because three is a crowd.
This is Blue's best friend, and one of us will have to leave.

Loved these books.....never wanted to put them down once I started reading them.
    Four Stars
I really liked it I wanted more
    Gritty, Raw, Beautiful...complete perfection.
I can't give this enough stars!
    Better When it Hurts:
Raw, gritty, painful and beautiful. I know those words usually don't go together, but that is the only way to describe it. This story is so intense I felt it to my marrow, it filled me with so many feelings. As always with all Skye Warren books, once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down.
This is the story of Lola (aka Hannah) and Blue, two people who share a painful past. They meet again while Lola is a stripper at a club called the Grand, and Blue is the bouncer/bodyguard.
Lola is a deeply troubled young woman trying to get by the best way she knows how, all while trying to support her former foster mother, Mrs. Owens, who has dementia and kidney failure. The interactions between Lola and her foster mom are bittersweet but heartwarming. Lola's world is turned upside down when Blue comes back into her life. He is always watching and waiting for a chance to get back at Lola for what she did to him.
The love scenes were brutal and tender all at the same time. The chemistry between Lola and Blue is explosive and it cannot be denied. But, it is more than just sex between these two, they forged a bond in childhood that survived crushing heartache and ultimate betrayal. This is a story of redemption, forgiveness, and a deep, all-consuming love.
This is my favorite so far from Mrs. Warren, she has a knack for writing characters who are broken but strong. Characters that go to hell and back and never give up. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this exciting, heart-wrenching, and beautifully painful series.
    Even Better:|
This story picks up a few months after Blue and Hannah (aka Lola) move in together. Hannah is still plagued with insecurity and doubt about her relationship with Blue. And she is feeling kind of lost, she misses stripping, but doesn't want to go back, she is in flux not knowing what to do with herself. A friend from Blue's military days comes to stay. Things start to heat up, and Hannah finds a kindred spirit in West, she feels his pain and vulnerability and it's like a thread that ties them together. But, not to worry Hannah and Blue are just fine. West actually helps Hannah realize that Blue is all she will ever need or want.
Blue and Hannah are the kind of characters that stay with you. They are both so broken, but together they are whole.

I wanted to love this book, but sadly I couldn't. I tried to force myself to finish it, and just couldn't. For some reason this book doesn't work I should've listened to the other reviewers, but I said to myself, self how bad could it be? It's bad I was falling asleep by chapter 7.
All I can say is thank god for refunds.
    loved it
loved thia book. even tho as any have talked about it has things from the other storries it still gives a new view to them
    Eh...just OK
I loved Nero and Vincent, but Sarah Brianne didn't deliver with this one. The narrator was overly dramatic and there was a lot of repetition.
The story ended without much resolve. We still don't know who she picks: Luca or Amo.

Vivian had vowed to get out of Charleston, become a big Hollywood star, and stick it to the snooty girls who made her cry.
She got what she wanted - and more - but why does her glamorous life seem so trivial?
Harrison got out, too...making it all the way to Wall Street until a heart attack forced him to trade in his cuff links for a good set of hand tools. Making furniture soothes his soul, but escaping the Whitley-Shuler heritage is nearly impossible. And now he's come face-to-face with the one who got away. He's not looking for love. He's not even looking for sex...so why is resisting her the hardest thing he's ever done?

Rachel Gibson has never disapointed me before this book. Nothing worked. the narator deliver a flat monotone reading of a poorly written book. You can do better than this, Ms Gibson.
    So disappointing
I was hoping the bad reviews were wrong. They are sadly right. Not sure what happened to her writing but this was very boring
    A complicated and great romance!
The reviews for this book have been tough in my opinion. The characters are interesting, complex and imperfect -my favorite kind! (And better than the last couple of books in my opinion!) The story starts out a bit like the old movie "Sabrina" (or the brothers reminded me of the brothers in the movie), but the plot twists and turns and the story has several surprising twists! You see all of the characters good points and imperfections -there is no black and white "good" or "bad" characters -I like that about Rachel Gibson's books.
Vivian is a strong, smart woman who left the city of Charleston and became the actress she always dreamed of becoming, the woman her mother encourages her to be -herself -despite the criticism of those around her. Vivian was raised by a loving, but bi-polar mom, not knowing who her father is or was. I loved the portrayal of her mother -again, not good, not bad, but real and a woman others couldn't help but love, but also a woman who wasn't always there for Vivian. Vivian loves her mother and accepts her illness as just another part of the woman.
Vivian is raised living in the guest house, cleaning house for the Whitney-Shuler family with her mother. This includes cleaning for "the Mantis," Mrs. Whitney-Shuler (because she would eat the people around her), and her two sons. But even Mrs. Whitney-Shuler has layers as the adult Vivian finds out. The boys grow up in boarding schools, but Vivian is the nightmarish younger sister during their summer holidays. (I love the diary excerpts from the younger Vivian's perspective!) When she returns as an adult to arrange her mother's funeral and set her affairs in order, she finds Harrison living in Charleston building custom cabinetry and furniture and a much different person than the mean boy she grew up believing him to be.
