A first kiss that changed everything.
Killian Kane. He was the most feared guy in high school. Guarded. Angry. A fighter. But when I caught him watching me with his captivating green eyes, I saw something more. Something protective and kind. He warned me to stay away from him. I did. Until I didn't, and he kissed me. A knee-weakening, body-tingling kiss that left me breathless. And scared the hell out of me. And then...he warned me never to come near him again, or next time he wouldn't let me go.
That was 11 years ago. We aren't teenagers anymore. He has probably forgotten me. He's a famous rock star now. I'm a dance instructor with a broken dream and desperate for a job. So, when we cross paths again I don't expect him to remember me. He does. And his warning 11 years ago? I'm about to find out exactly what that meant.

    Kept From You
I've been waiting to read Kite's book for what sets like forever and I must say it was worth the wait. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching Killian and Savvy reconnect and fall for each other.
I think the narrators did a pretty decent job conveying the emotions and telling this story. However I didn't really enjoy the female narrator's male voices, I like her voice just fine for Savvy's parts but the male voices kinda grated on my nerves. The male narrator's voice I liked, loved his Irish brogue but his voice isn't what I thought Kite's voice would've sounded like. I expected it to be deeper and rougher but I'm not going to lie I loved listening to him read the sex scenes.
All in all I found this to be an enjoyable read and I definitely recommend it.
    Worth the Read
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Nashoda did it again. You wrote about difficult situations but also a beautiful love story. This series is in my top 10 and will always re-read. Everyone needs to get a copy. Getting to Listen to the Irish accented Kite was thrilling. I enjoyed this audible. <3
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes I would.
    Great listening!
I really loved this audiobook! I had not listened to an audiobook by Nashoda Rose before and I immediately bought the other three audiobooks in this series. The complex man who is the hero, Killian, is a drummer in a famous rock band. He and the heroine, Savvy, knew each other in high school. Their separation of eleven years hasn't changed the secret longing he had for her, but his past life and his family secrets keep him from going after her until she takes a job in the nightclub he half owns. Soon they are involved in a hot affair, but his father (who is a business rival and just plain evil) does something that causes Killian to let her go. I loved the resolution in the end of the book. The narration was great and I really enjoyed the slight Irish brogue that Rory White has!
Killian Kane, I`ve waited a long time for you
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it certainly was, I`ve waited along time for this book to be released.
I do wish I read the book first before listening to the audio, I`m not sure if its me but I found Erin Mallon a little to breathy.

    Genres: Romance, Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
Alexis Morgan has spent the past eight years devoted to turning her tiny start-up into Manhattan's premiere wedding planning company, The Wedding Belles. Now that her business is thriving, it's time to turn towards her much neglected personal life, and Alexis approaches her relationships like she does everything else: with a plan. Not a part of that plan is Logan Harris, the silent partner in the Belles, and the one person who's been there for her since the very beginning. But Alexis needs someone fun, and Logan's all business, all the time - except when a late night at the office ends with an unexpected kiss that leaves Alexis reeling.
Logan has lusted after Alexis since the day he walked into the tiny Harlem apartment that used to double as her office. But the ambitious wedding planner has always been untouchable...until now. Alexis has made it clear that she's on the dating market - and equally clear that he's not in the running. But when Alexis finds herself in need of a date for her sister's last-minute wedding, Logan knows it's the perfect time to show Alexis that there's more to him than numbers and spreadsheets - and beneath the pinstripes and glasses lies a hot-blooded heartthrob.

AN ENJOYABLE CONCLUSION TO A CHARMING SERIES!
    4.25 STARS
In this final installment of author Lauren Layneâs Wedding Belles series, we finally get to delve into and dissect the long standing (and oddly platonic) relationship between Alexis Morgan and her business partner/accountant, Logan Harris.
To existing fans of this charming series, we have come to know Alexis as the poised, self-confident owner of Manhattanâs elite wedding planning company, âThe Belles.â But when it comes to her personal relationships, Alexis often seems cold and slightly detached. As for Logan, itâs obvious to everyone around them that heâs been carrying a torch for Alexis for eight long years. Obvious to everyone except Alexis, that is. Oddly, in all the years that Logan has been pining away for Alexis, she has been seemingly oblivious to Loganâs true intent.
Right around the time that Loganâs life is about to take a pivotal turn, past events resurface, thrusting Alexis into an emotional turmoil that causes her to reevaluate her non-existent love life. Sensing that this is his time to âstrike,â Logan devises a plan to finally capture Alexisâ attention. With the clock ticking, Logan has only a month to get Alexis to give him a chance. Otherwise, itâs time to count his losses and embark on a new journey that will take him far away from the love of his life.
As with all good romances, there must be angst. Still, I found Alexisâs reluctance to open her eyes to Logan and embrace all that he was offering, a bit off putting. Alexis longs for love, marriage, and a family, yet sheâs so closed off, that sheâs been blind to the fact that what she desires has been standing before herâwaiting--all along. Although I wish Logan could have been able to communicate his feelings for Alexis long ago and outright, I have to admire his unyielding devotion and long suffering patience when it comes to the woman he adores. Heâs sweet, sexy, and utterly charming. And contrary to how it might appear, Logan is far from suffering.

    Title: Pretty Face
    Subtitle: London Celebrities, Book 2
    Author: Lucy Parker
    Narrator: Morag Sims
    Format: Unabridged
    Length: 10 hrs
    Language: English
    Release date: 02-20-17
    Publisher: Harlequin Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 45 votes
    Genres: Romance, Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
Highly acclaimed, award-winning author of Act Like It Lucy Parker returns listeners to the London stage with laugh-out-loud wit and plenty of drama.
    The play's the fling.
It's not actress Lily Lamprey's fault that she's all curves and has the kind of voice that can fog up a camera lens. She wants to prove where her real talents lie - and that's not on a casting couch, thank you. When she hears esteemed director Luc Savage is renovating a legendary West End theater for a lofty new production, she knows it could be her chance - if only Luc wasn't so dictatorial, so bad tempered, and so incredibly sexy.
Luc Savage has respect, integrity, and experience. He also has it bad for Lily. He'd be willing to dismiss it as a midlife crisis, but this exasperating, irresistible woman is actually a very talented actress. Unfortunately their romance is not only raising questions about Lily's suddenly rising career; it's threatening Luc's professional reputation. The course of true love never did run smooth. But if they're not careful, it could bring down the curtain on both their careers....

    Enjoyable read
I will definitely read another book by this author. The characters were likable; I appreciated the humor. 4 star in its genre.
    Good Story, Outstanding Narration
Would you listen to Pretty Face again? Why?
I'd listen to this book again, because the performance was so, so good. I'd want to soak it all in once more.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The way the heroine, Lily, was so prejudiced against because of her sexy voice and beautiful appearance was fascinating. You'd think that would only help one in an acting career, but it hurt her aspirations to act on the stage. The least interesting bits were the sex scenes, unfortunately.
What does Morag Sims bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Morag Sims perfectly captured Lily's voice high, breathy, sexy... and intelligent. It was masterful. It was wonderful to hear her words out loud, since voice is such an important part of the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No part "moved" me in the truest sense of the word, but I loved the moments where people realized how wrong they'd been to judge Lily before getting to know her.
    Any additional comments?
I truly wish the author had included more information about the play at the center of the story. I also wish Lily's first public stage performance, with all of the emotion behind it, had been more detailed.
    Five Stars
Loved the narration - great accents - and the story. Bit of a slow start, but didn't take away from the enjoyment.
    Delightful!!!
What a fun read. Lucy Parker is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Just as great as her breakout novel Act Like It.
    Loved it!
    Any additional comments?
I didn't think I could possibly like this book as much as "Act Like it,' I was wrong. This book is excellent start to finish and I would highly recommend it.

    Publisher's Summary:
Apple "Core" Drew needs the Uncertain Saints MC like he needs air. He is barely making it through the day, and each one that goes by takes him closer and closer to hell. Literally, not figuratively. He's a half breath away from killing himself - maybe not by taking his own life, but he's not against making someone else do it for him. Then he meets her, the sister of a club member, and his whole outlook on life changes. And not for the better. Just as surely as he ruined his life, he ruins her life, too. One lapse in judgment on his part, and his one night of happiness turns into the worst nine months of his life.
    She never saw it coming....
It was the beard. The beard made her do it. That's a good excuse for having sex with a man she barely knows, isn't it? Yeah, who was she kidding? It wasn't the beard. It was the way he looked so dejected and solemn. The sad look in his eyes pulls her in, and the way his rough hands touch her makes her stay. One day is all she gets, and he's not willing to give her more. Until she dies, that is. Then it's too late. Contains mature themes.

    4.5 Bad Apple Stars
To be honest I really wasn't sure what I was going to get with this book. Book 1 and 2 of this series were my favorite. The 3rd book is a close second.
So to say I am pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I want a Bad Apple! ;)
Even knowing Apples past and what he is going through you never feel like he is down on himself. Well he is but he has a reason to live life now, Kitt comes into his life when he needed her.
But it was Apple who came into Kitts like when she needed him. I loved there story, miscommunication and not talking to one another can really mess with anyone.
I loved the relationship between Kitt and her brother. I cant wait for his book thats going to be VERY interesting.
Loved the narration again fabulous job! I am a FAN.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
    Epilogue
I didn't like the epilogue. And I'm not sure why Apple had to have a vasectomy. In my opinion it would've been better if they had more kids to show Apple was getting over his past and portrayed them a a strong couple who worked hard to get over their issues. But overall I enjoyed it!

IM SUCH A GIRL. THIS BOOK MADE ME CRY
    Any additional comments?
I just finished book two and my emotions are all over the place. This one was even better than the first. I think this is going to be a great series. Worth the credit
    So good
The first book was all about finding a way to be together when it right, this one is all about heart break and destruction. I am crushed and can't even wait to start book 3.
I'm going to pick a little because I hate these serials. It drives me nuts to use 3 credits on what equates to one book. But I loved it so much, I'm doing it anyway.
Samantha cook is perfection and a Michael is middle ground for me.

    Another hit for Ruth Cardello!
Would you listen to Let It Burn again? Why?
Probably not. I absolutely did not like the narrator. She was inconsistent with her male voices, the females sounded like teenagers and I almost stopped listening very early in the book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Let It Burn?
The scene where Andrew's family got very real with their feelings and their relationships over the years and the causes. It was very moving when Andrew finally felt like he was a part of his family.
What three words best describe Robin Rowans voice?
    Not very good.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried when at the emotional scenes between Andrew and his family and also when Andrew told Helene how he felt about her after he had finally taken care of the things that had him so unable to feel like life mattered.
    Any additional comments?
Despite disliking this narrator, I love Ruth's story of healing and a second chance to be a part of family and finding a love who understood Andrew. Let It Burn is one of the best in the Barrington Series!
    loved it.
The story is awesome can't wait for the next book. I would be please if the narrations was different .
    loved the story
this was a great one and I am happy how Andrew's story was handled. I am excited for the next chapter. wish in the audio book her sound was not so whispy as it made her week and like an airhead, which was not how I felt her character was.

Saving myself for marriage, not hardly. Saving myself for someone who will make my heart race, most definitely. In theory it's a good plan, however even the best-laid plans fall through. Seeing him, being around him, alerts all my senses and I dream about being his, wrapping myself in his arms and never letting go. The only problem - he sees me as his sister. My name's Ava Evans, and I'm in love with my older brother's best friend, Nate Garrison.
Burying myself in work for the past two years, avoiding any thought of her, has worked, until now. She's everywhere, in my dreams, in my gym, and in my heart. I'm not sure when I fell in love with Ava Evans, but I am completely in love with my best friend's baby sister. At first she was too young for me, and that made it easy to stay away. Now, it's a struggle to keep my distance. How am I supposed to resist her when I can't escape her? If he ever found out, it would ruin our friendship. Even with that knowledge, all she would have to do is just say when.
    Members Reviews:
    Entertaining
This audiobook is the story of the heroine falling for her brothers best friend and him loving her for years before they admit it to each other. Some of the book felt awfully young to me and I don't know if a brother would really get that mad about his friend falling for his sister. Overall, it was enjoyable.
    SWEET STORY BUT OVERUSED PLOT!!!
Just Say When was a sweet easy listen, low on angst, and drama; however, there wasn't anything original about the plot. I kept listening and waiting for some type of plot twist that would make this story stand out from all the others with a similar plot, but it never came. It's really just another story about a girl crushing on her older brother's best friend, a guy crushing on his best friend's little sister, both afraid her brother will not accept their relationship, but they give into their feelings.
The best part of Just Say When was the narration!! I really enjoyed Nelson Hobb's and Jillian Macie's performance. They brought the characters to life and kept me engaged.
This story didn't "wow" me nor did I dislike it; it's just there wasn't really anything remarkable about the plot, characters, drama or dialogue. Overall, this is a feel good romance that won't leave the listener emotionally drained. The chemistry, attraction, and sexual tension between the H/h was more sweet than steamy. While this story was just OK to me, I am interested enough to give Kaylee Ryan's other audiobooks a shot.
Even Nelson Hobbs Couldn't Save This One
I couldn't even finish this book -- I gave up after about 2 hours of listening. The story line was weak at best, there was no chemistry between Ava May and Nate and the writing was just too simplistic. Besides the story being really boring, the female narrartor Jillian Macie has a really squeaky, nasally annoying voice. Nelson Hobbs is one of my favorite male narrators and the only reason I listened for as long as I did but even he couldn't spit shine this turd.
You would have to pay me to finish listening to this.
    Just Couldn't Get Into It
    Any additional comments?
I'm not sure why I couldn't get into it. I think it is because of the female narrator. She sounds kind of whiny to me. Nelson Hobbs was great though.

    Ok, but....
The premise of the story is ok. It got hard to believe in many places. More research into how IVF actually works is needed. Having a personal donor is not unusual but none of the procedures or medical exams are even mentioned for either the donor or the mother. It's like the man makes a deposit and the woman just gets a concentrated injection and that's it!!
to much thinking not enough talking
the story was too long for the nonsense it should have just been a yes or no situation
Good book shame about the narrator
I like the story but it sounded like I was being read a nature documentary it was frustrating and difficult to listen to

    Watch Where You're Going!
What a great way to meet a guy -- just run him down!Another enticing love story by Sawyer Bennett, but then again how could you not love an author who is not afraid to say "The Human Centipede" was a horrible movie. That aside, it was fun getting to know Emily and Nix and how they found a way to overcome their personal demons and different backgrounds to forge a relationship.
The narrators were good and work well as a combination. Charlotte's male voice often times sounded too feminine but overall it worked. I would listen to other books narrated by them.
Definitely worth the credit. This is my second book in this series so now I'm off to listen to another. Expecting the good feelings to continue in this series.
    Amazing!
WOW! What a wonderful novel by Sawyer Bennett! This story was amazing from beginning to end. She doesn't drag things out or incessantly repeat things. She just wrote a beautiful story about the the love of two people. And the narrators were dead on! Loved therm!
Lighthearted listen made me smile after a bad day!
This is great series that takes rough situations and gives you a positive outcome. If you need something to make you smile and feel good these books will warm your heart.
This one has some spectacular quotes at the end. Listen to them, they are all moving...
    Oh. Man. Nix
What did you love best about Off Limits?
The push and pull of Emily and anixon. I love that she gave as good as he did and she pushed him to open up
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Nixon. Nixon all day
    Any additional comments?
I think this will be my favorite book of the series. There's just something about brooding, closed off men.

    Another Winner
This is a powerful book for those of us who like the darker side of the darker side. As with every book in this genre, the characters' resistance to taking the step we all know they're going to take gets a little annoying. However Ms. Hill makes the details and nature of that resistance sufficiently entrancing. Marcie is a delightful character. She is ballsy in a way that makes her desire for total submission compelling. Starting each chapter with correspondence between Marcie and Ben is a great way to briefly recount important backstory issues as well as foreshadow the events in the future. Very clever device and another example of why I love Joey W. Hill's work so much
Maxine Mitchell, as always is right on the money. Her voice is like so much honey but morphs to the characters as needed. She brings Marcie to life.
Ms. Hill has one of the most imaginative minds in the setup and execution of BDSM scenes I'm convinced she could train Doms to do the real deal. Many of the scenes are accompanied by the initial reaction of Holy F**k! how does she come up with this stuff!? Then of course one must deal with the visceral response the scenes elicit. Suffice to say that clothing must be adjusted frequently.
