I enjoyed the entire series and look forward to Nicole & Rafe's story! Highly Recommend!! Elena Wolfe is a fabulous narrator and brought the trilogy to life!!

Love This Author!

I found a new author. I love Ms. Helmer's love stories. I love reading about Alaska. The stories were funny, sad and addictive. I love the narrator too!

Would you listen to Wild Men of Alaska again? Why?

Yes, I would. In fact, as soon as I was finished listening to Bearing All (last story in the bundle of novellas) I started it over again. It has to be my favorite, though I loved them all.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sergei. The narrator did such a fabulous job bringing him to life. I loved in when I read him and I'm now even more in love with him.

What does Erin Bennett bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

She brought them alive.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A few, actually. Bearing All with the intense emotion and deep feelings the characters had for each other and the battles they were made to go through. I don't want to give away too much of the story as Helmer writes a terrific book.

This is a short story about 2 ex-lovers that get trapped together in a crashed plane during a storm in the wilds of Alaska. Wren and Skip grew up together and were each other's first loves. The full details are sketchy but it appears that certain things ended Wren on a path where she got hooked on drugs and Skip had to arrest her for her own good. I didn't have an issue with that but I did find it strange that he dropped out of her life for 5 years and thought it would be easy to get back in her life. There was a rather confusing mix of emotions and blame that Wren and Skip needed to work through.

it was a cute book bit pretty predictable. It was still a nice Christmas story.

Narrator is horrible

I love all Susan Mallery books except maybe 2 and I think this is 2. The story was sweet I wish I would have just read it. Oh man the narrator is dull,dry and boring and her voice is annoying. I will steer clear from any other books she narrates. I'm requesting a refund I just can't deal with listening. I'll use my refund money and buy the book. Happy Reading!!!

Too much Self Loathing

What disappointed you about The Christmas Wedding Ring?

The main character is so self deprecating and self loathing that its hard to listen to. It made me uncomfortable.

What could Susan Mallery have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Love the story line but be prepared for narration

Overall enjoyed the storyline.

If you've read Susan Mallery before you will not be disappointed. If you haven't you're in for a real treat.

The narration was okay. The voice chosen for the main character just started to grate on me after the first chapter. Especially since the voices of the supporting characters were done so well. Main characters voice was more child like and "oh golly gee wiz" -ish. Just didn't fit at all with a mature woman but more with a teenager or coming of age story.

Wow Daniel...

Dont be fooled! Virna DePaul is a wicked, teasing woman! This book is pure agony, why? Well because it ended far too soon. OK I knew it was short when I bought it, but lets face it, some books are way too long after the first few pages. Not this book though, this book is way too short based on just how good, attention grabbing, sexy and full of raw feelings it is. I love Daniel Mays and Bryn Donovan, heck I even like their friends, Tamara Logan and Vance. So much more could be added, in fact I think Virna should give us more!!! It captivated me from the beginning. I was in fact expecting a short, light, straight forward romance, but it was deep, I could see a movie in my head Come on, please give me more, I like these guys, there is a lot to them and so much more to explore.

How Virna manages to build such amazing characters in such a complex context on so few pages amazes me, well not really amazes because I know just what an incredible writer she is, so to be fair, its to be expected! This book is really LEntrée and Im ready for Le Plat Principal.

I GUARANTEE everyone will enjoy this delicious, short love affair both with the characters and the author and last but not least if you have the audio version, the narrator Ellen Lange. She did an amazing job, I really enjoyed her excellent portrayal of the characters both male and female.

Well done on all counts, the writing and the narration. This is definitely a book I will read/listen to again!

I hardly ever write reviews. So, you know it's got to be bad.

I was so excited to hear the dual narration I bought this book. The first 2 minutes I was convinced someone recruited their neighbor's friends cousin twice removed to record this amiture effort at an audio book.

It was LOUD then too quiet, background noise, big unnatural pauses between sentences. Terrible performances by actors. Stilted, self conscious, voice inflections didn't match the scene and they both Choked on a few funny jokes.

I listened on 1.25 speed and that kept me from calling the production company to curse them out for insulting Audible and its loyal listeners.

Wow, the arrogance and audacity it took to put out such a poorly done recording must be staggering. Audible should be ashamed too for accepting such a thing. I could do so much better with my niece's karaoke machine.

The story is good and scored a 4 out of 5 on my personal hotness scale. I liked the banter between the characters and the battle of wills. I liked the twists of the plot as well.

Note to Riley Murphy.

Take a "hint" and don't try to produce audiobooks in your sister's hairdressers friends cousin's garage and don't use your friends to narrate. It's cheap and offensive.

More books though. Give me a call if you want to record a book. I'll let my grandmothers niece and her cousin narrate and I will clear out my son's daycare so I can make a better recording than you did

Stare Me Down by Riley Murphy was a great book. This book was so much fun to read. Aries is a Dom who is in anger management when he meets Jaxx his therapist. I really enjoyed Jaxx and Aries together, their banter was great. I have really enjoyed reading Riley Murphy's books and can't wait to read more by the author.

Touching Story

This is one of my favorite audiobooks. Riley Murphy writes deep characters and has a profound understanding of the BDSM elements she portrays in her books. Jaxx and Aries were complex characters with hidden depths. I loved listening to their battle of wills while he was still in therapy with her. Both are highly intelligent individuals, so it was interesting to see them discover each others secrets and hidden talents.

I was really touched by the Alzheimer's scenes in the story.

Just Barely Tolerable

Strings of the Heart (SOTH) was initially a good read considering it's third in a series and I haven't read any of the other books. Not reading the other books was deliberately done as with most of these series, the author goes out of their way to make sure the reader knows what happened to the other characters. As predicted, ad nauseam in fact, the author kept the reader abreast of the characters from the other books in the series. That said, after the initial scene (i.e. the 'morning wood' discussion was a superfluous way to integrate characters from the previous book), the book progressed well from Alison's point of view. However, SOTH began to peter out after Alison and Rhys got together as the reason for their not being together was thin at best. Also, Alison's brother Jake (who is also the lead character of the first Runaway Train book and Rhys' band mate) is a ridiculous character - he's a hypocritical bully that insists on controlling the behavior of every other male character when it comes to Alison, and every other character is totally fine with it. Jake hooked up with Abby and her brothers had no choice but to accept it, yet he is irrationally upset whenever a male talks to his sister because she's 'his' baby sister. Another minor annoyance was Jake and Rhys referring to Alison by her childhood nickname...it was an obvious vehicle used by the author to show Jake's affection for Alison...which ironically he had no problem dropping when he called her a whore for hooking up with Rhys. Honestly, the only reason I got SOTH was because Luke Daniels was the narrator, and as expected I really enjoyed his narration given the material he had to work with. Also, Justine O. Keef was an excellent narrator...her southern twang came across as natural and subtle...she really brought Alison's character to life. Overall, I'd say skip the entire Runaway Train series, but as I've only read SOTH I'll narrow my opinion to this book...avoid my mistake and skip this at times cliché riddled band drama.

Love and the intricate details

This book was one that grabbed me right away. The reluctant gorgeous movie star had to pay his dues, to his manager, because when he was attempting to break into films, his manager took a chance on him, he was unknown and absolutely gorgeous.

Now that success had become his he was reminded that there are obligations that have to be fulfilled and he had enough of a conscience to realize that some things in life had to be done to keep everyone happy, especially the conglomerate that owned the TV show and his contract and they wanted him to pay his dues.

The rest of the book spins off from there because when he saw the beauty running the TV show was not only independent she was smart and savvy and showed no interest in him at all, aside from doing his best on her show. Nothing makes a man more intrigued by a woman that saw him only as a guest and all of the other women he came across fell at his feet.

The rest is interesting and just plain fun to watch the dynamics unfold.

Once again, nora has written a book that is interesting, knowing there was a reason for her inability to connect t but holding back the reason until late in the. Wonderful ending.

SO Incredibly Good!!

I'm definitely not a biker babe, but these bike club love stories have me completely hooked! I've loved every single story from Madeline Sheehan so far, and based on the ending of this one, I am going to be counting down the minutes until book 5 is released!!

This was a super gritty love story, featuring betrayals of epic proportions, and characters that spent nearly a lifetime trying to find a slice of happiness and love. This is such a well written and expertly narrated series. Start with book 1 if you're new to the series. I highly recommend it!

You may not like the subject matter or language but Ms. Sheehan has a lot of depth when she writes and is insightful. Her stories and characters connect well and her books are enjoyable and the interaction between her characters is often entertaining and funny. Some folks may be offended by the language and violence, so it's not for everyone, but I enjoy her writing, the scenes that are sometimes rough, and the grit she brings to all her characters.

LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

I have fallen for this series, bravo Ms.Sheehan! I love the way she carried this story and all characters from book to book. I love each and every character and I can't say enough about the creation of the lives of each of them. They can be so rude, crude, funny and yet full of love for their families and their brothers. Just loved it all! I'm hoping for more books in this series since the door is left open. Then to bring life to these characters the narrator was the best I've ever heard on audible!! Fabulous job Ms. Sokolov!!

EXCRUCIATING LISTENING !

Please remind me NEVER to buy another book narrated by Julie Maisey ! Her narration is appalling - its like she is telling a story to children in an infant school instead of adults. I have tried to listen to the book so many times, but its driving me insane.

Shame really, as I would have liked to know how the book ended at least!

What a beautiful book. The story was brilliant and Julie the narrator is amazing. I couldn't stop listening to this book. Although obviously there is terrible sadness, it is laden with so much beauty and love. It fascinates me that people had so little, and yet not only survived but created happy situations and made the most of things. I thoroughly recommend this book. I am sure you will love it.
