Perfect moments.

Alec and Libby. For as short as this book is, the characters are very well developed, addictive and intriguing. This author centers her stories in NYC often and it adds to the mystery and intensity of the men. When I think about moving from a small town at the age of 20-30 to New York, I think about the rich, attractive uninhibited alpha males on the prowl for the night. The men of her stories are almost always abrupt and without fear. I love that they all fall-- and quickly. Each man usually carries a bit of baggage and the author does a great job of mixing up the plots.

I am as addicted to her books now as when I read my first one. Libby might just be one of my favorite female characters. Strong and sarcastic---love main female character like her! Not too quick to trust men with her heart but more than willing to jump into bed for physical pleasure. Love it.

Awesome plot- great characters. And Axel NY shows up in each story! Love the ties throughout each series.

Alec and Libby what a great couple. Alec is a love hate kind of guy, his secrets made me hate him. Libby is such a strong independent and driven woman, no wonder Alec is drawn to her. I hate that their story is over, but I hope I get to see more of them in future novels as I work my way through the entire reading order. Now on to the Gone series. Since I read Ruin and had to go back and read Solo.

The book was great!

I don't usually write reviews but I just have to tell "Gadget Girl" that she should really read the book before giving her opinion. I read several reviews of this book mostly very positive before reading her poor review, she blasted the book even after admitting that she hadn't really read it. Wow, who does something like that?

The book was great! I thought the author did a fine job of defining her characters, I could tell from the beginning that the lead characters were going to be good for each other. I read the book from beginning to end without putting it down. It was funny and heart wrenching at the same time.

Hot!!!

Combine the author talents with the amazing talents of Kai and Wen and you have an explosion of hotness that just keeps coming! Seriously one hell of a volcanic read!!

If you like being cheated and left on a cliffhanger so you'll buy the next book go ahead and read this. I was going to give it four or five stars till they did that. And I was going to buy the next book anyway - in fact I may already have, I really liked these writers. But they have left a nasty taste, actually an incomplete book, and with no warning. They are out of integrity on this one point and I would like them to fix it and reissue the book.

Cliffhanger

Love the narrators and story but warning it has a cliffhanger. it was long enough not to leave it where it was.

I've loved all these sexy Rockers but Super Slut Simon is in a league of his own - because he wants to be good - to give it a try with Margo, wants a more meaningful relationship and wants to get over the constant faceless nameless women that desire nothing more than sex and bragging rights. I love this series, and I think it's getting better with each book.

This is a series of novellas, therefore the books are short. Given the length of the books, the character development is great, but there's only so much that can be fitted into a novella.

If you don't enjoy messed up, in some instances downright crazy (*cough* Alex) characters, or novellas, then these books probably won't be for you.

I loved Gannon, and by the end of Shatter I began to like Alex too. At first I struggled to understand why Gannon would want to be with someone who had acted with his ex (Ryker) just like Gannon's ex (Seb), but it became apparent that the motivation/reasons for Alex's previous behaviour were not relevant to his relationship with Gannon. Doesn't excuse it, but did explain it somewhat.

I can't wait for Andrei's story next. I loved him in this story and I'm really excited to get to know him better in Crush.

Great addition to a really good series.

Alex and Gannon are so great! I absolutely loved them, from the very beginning when Alex meets Gannon and 'needs' to leave immediately. Gannon offers to give him a ride, since he is going out anyway. Only to confess he was not actually going anywhere!

Alex is the perfect kind of possessive. He is actually afraid of his possessiveness because in his past it has led him into stalker territory. I felt myself hoping that Alex would feel safe and trusting of Gannon and not need the stalker thing, but...that's not Alex. He is more of a 'trust but verify' kind of guy. But he makes it seem so HOT!

Gannon is protected by those around him, but he actually doesn't need protection. He can certainly protect himself, and has done so in the past. I loved the mystery surrounding Gannon, and enjoyed the way the story concluded. Charity Parkerson is a great storyteller, and these characters in this series have all been interesting and multi-faceted. Could not wait for the next book, read it immediately.

I like to read about couples that are obviously meant for each other and Alex and Gannon are that.

Great characters

I have read all of the books in this series, or rather listened to them, up to this point, now I have to read the rest because I just can't wait for the audio version of the next one, I just love the characters and the story lines.I will read the next few books, and when the audio versions are released, I will re listen to the entire series. Everyone Needs a Chance

I just finished this book and I have got to say it was great! Chance is dealing with a past that has scarred him both emotionally and psychologically, but it has also helped to shape him into the man that he is today. While he knows that he has many issues he does not let those issues carry over into the way he treats Lena. This man knows how to treat a woman. Chance is a Dom, but but that does not mean that he is perfect, and he knows this. When Chance makes a mistake thinks things through rationally and does what he needs to do to fix his mistake. Lena is dealing with her own emotional demons, including an ex who is determined to make her life a living hell. When Lena meets Chance she knows that he would never intentionally hurt her and she asks him for the help that she needs to get her life back. Lena knows that Chance is the man who can help her to explore the side of herself that she has been keeping hidden, so she asks his to teach her how to submit, she wants him to be her Dom. With Chance's help Lena not only finds who she really is, she also realizes that she is worthy of things that she never thought she could ever have.

This is the first book I have read by Chloe Cox, but I know that I will be buying many more of her books after reading this. When Chance speaks in his Dom voice he will have you ready to follow all of his commands. I was also drawn to many of the other characters in this books and will be waiting to see what happens as they get to tell their stories in later books.

Now I off to find my own Chance!!!!!

Very entertaining

This is the third book I have read in this series. Although it is not written as hardcore BDSM, it was interesting and had enough steamy parts to keep you connected. It had a well thought out and continuous plot line going. The characters were portrayed as regular people; some with common deep seated emotional issues and how they were able to work through them.

Very disappointed in this book!

I had enjoyed the three books about the English brothers, and because of that I was looking forward to this book. However, this book was a major disappointment. My largest issue with this book was the female character. She was annoying and very self righteous, to say the least. The narrator, who I have liked before, made the female character seem even weaker. The plot was weak. The relationship between the characters had NO sizzle! Not sure I will purchase more books in this series.

Sex as filler is boring

If you could sum up Bidding on Brooks: The Winslow Brothers #1 in three words, what would they be?

Good character development, satisfactory plot, too many sex scenes.

Would you be willing to try another book from Katy Regnery? Why or why not?

This author uses sex scenes as filler. I am bored reading over and over again about the sexual activity of the characters. A little goes a long way, and I am tired of writers who try to write longer books by inserting more and more bedroom scenes. Like anything else, too much just drags the book out. Two or three per book is adequate.

What about Lauren Sweets performance did you like?

The narrator did a wonderful job. She doesn't read the dialogue tags in the same voice as the dialogue so you know when the speaker stops speaking. Her pacing is excellent, and her voice is a pleasure to listen to. I look forward to listening to other books with this narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was particularly moved by the slimmy magazine writer/photographer. He was such a pleasure to hate!

Any additional comments?

I would encourage the author to continue to write interesting plots with conflicted characters, but with far less description of bedroom activities. Too much description of anything is to be avoided.

They fall in love to easily and even tho the 'struggle' is common it just doesn't seem real. the readers voice is no good for men's voices and I found her aggravating.

I have not read the printed version, but I like being able to "hear" the characters in the story.

What did you like best about this story?

It is an interesting idea for a story. I liked how Savannah and Scott were instantly attracted to each other.

What about Tiffany Williamss performance did you like?

Tiffany is very expressive and I have enjoyed everything that I have listened to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It is funny when both Savannah and Scott called the matchmaker freaking out about the issues they were having. I loved how Scott was kind of clueless when it came to getting along with Savannah.

I can't wait until I get a chance to "read" the rest of this series.

Pleasant, bland, romance

Narrator did ok with unlikely storyline of a couple meeting at the altar and forging a love story from repetitive man/woman cliche's. Good book to fall asleep to.

I had a few laughs reading this book. The husband was so clueless as to what a modern woman wants or needs.
