Best in the series so far..

This book was a perfect blend of action, love, family, and heated sexy romance. The narration is absolutely flawless as well. Overall I would recommend parting with a credit for it!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Merciless Ride?

I'm not sure if anything is really worth calling memorable because nothing stood out to me, but the book was still good to listen to.

What does Elizabeth Hart and Jeremy York bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

The detail that the narrators bring into the characters helps with the story. However, some of the parts of the story seemed to drag on because of the way it's narrated.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it took me a few days to get through this one.

Just don't know

I like the hellions books and I like Jeremy York as a narrator. But I do not like York as a female narrator. Hart as a male narrator has a lot to be desired. I guess I have listened to books that are truly dual narrated and now this kind of dual narration just gets on my nerves. I hate it because I really enjoy audible books. I may just have to go back to reading again.. At least there is female trying to sound like a male and ruining the experience.

Couldn't even listen...

The audible version was so horrible that I stopped listening after the first painful 5 minutes and read instead. The narrators voice does not fit the character AT ALL and is soooooo annoying.

I would recommend it for the story and the writing, but the narrator really brings the rating down on this one.

I love how Jennifer brings her characters to life in her writing

There was almost no inflection besides a bit of a whiny inflection....it did not flow and the narration detracted from how good this book could be.

Did Dream of You inspire you to do anything?

Not get another book with this narrator.

Dream of You needs to be EYE read.

Normally I say get the audiobook not this time. I loved the story but not a fan of this narrator.

First I thought maybe its just me because I was used to another doing this series so I stopped it took a break and came back.

Nope just not a fan of this narrator she sounded like she was trying too hard to put emotion in to her words.

Also her male voice was meh, she isn't bad at the male parts just her tone overall.

Now the story was great, so I say buy the book and eye read it because its a great addition to this series.

I was intrigued about Reeces brother Colt and he deserves a HEA. So does Abby, she has suffered so much loss. And now she is in danger after being witness to a crime.

Enter in Colton, swoony Colton. These two together make sense.

Wauuu What a great shortstory in this amazing series. And even though it's only a 4 hour story it is still as great a story as the rest of the books in the series

Love Is Sweeter the 2nd Time Around

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book had a unique story-line since the main character Celia is a recent widow. Most books are about someone's "first love," but this one is a little different. Celia's husband dies in a skydiving accident with his mistress while he is filming it. Celia watches the video and realizes the marriage was a farce.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ambrosia by the Sea?

I really enjoyed the part where Celia was trying to change a tire outside of a store where she bought a can of "Fix-a-Flat" and it exploded all over her while a handsome guy she had just met was watching through the store window.

Which character as performed by Cynthia Vail was your favorite?

Celia was portrayed so well by Cynthia. Her voice came across as a pleasant upbeat personality even though Celia was mourning the loss of her husband. Celia wasn't really mourning his loss but she was mourning the loss of the happy life she thought they should have had.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did not have a extreme reaction to this book but I must say I did have a very pleasing reaction to it. It was a nice story with nice people and it had a happy ending.

This book was gifted to me by Traci Hall in exchange for an honest review. She is an amazing writer and I hope to be gifted more of her wonderful books !

Sweet story - annoying narration

What made the experience of listening to Ambrosia by the Sea the most enjoyable?

I like the premise of the beach being a place to 'escape' to. It's worked for me! Also, turning the narration up to 1.5x so it was't as annoying.

What did you like best about this story?

I like how Celia was ready to pick up and start over in a new place, sight unseen, to recover from not only the loss of her husband to a tragic accident, but discovering his infidelity at the same time.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I felt the narrator was reading in a way meant to be sexy and sultry, but at the same time sound like a disney princess. It was extremely annoying, and I almost gave up on the book.

Sexy ~ Fun ~ LOVE!

I was first introduced to Zoe York's stories just this year in August via NetGalley when I was provided a copy of Love in a Small Town as an ARC to read an review and I was blown away by how I much I loved the book. So When the 4th book in THIS series came up on NetGalley, I jumped at the opportunity to read it. And again, she blew me away. So the decision was made then! She is now one of my top TBR authors! I grabbed every Wardham book I could get my hands on and read them back to back. I couldn't stop! (Yes, I tend to read books, take notes and review at some other point in my life LOL ... well the time has come!)

Between Then and Now is the beginning of what promises to be a FANTABULOUS series of the people in a small town called Wardham. This book is about Ian and Carrie. They NEED a HEA really really bad! They married out of obligation and eight years later find that their marriage is struggling badly. But when I say obligation, it does NOT mean that there is no love there or wasn't there when they married. I'm not one to give away plots, so you will have to read this short novella to find out what that REALLY means, but you won't regret it. TRUST ME.

Zoe York's writing style is what I refer to as east going and feel good. She makes you feel for her characters as if they were your best friend or family member. Ian and Carrie's struggles are very real. And Zoe makes you feel like you are right there with them! The love that they truly have for one another jumps right off the pages and you just can't help but root for them!

There's one last thing I will say about not only this story, but all Zoe's stories .... her H/h can entertaining the living heck out of you. I love her wording and style and characters and just everything about her stories. And you will TOO!

Wonderful Intro to Wareham Series

I love love. Reading romance books is something I have done for over 20 years. As a reader you find authors that you just seem to "click" with. Zoe York is one of those. Her books are sweet. Don't get me wrong - there are sex scenes, but they aren't the main focus of the book. (And they aren't overly graphic, making it more suitable to a wider audience.

This book was wonderful. And a great intro to the series....Which I have already purchased all but 2 of the books! I enjoyed the first book so much that I didn't bother finishing it before getting them so I can jump right into the next one.....Which I am going to do as soon as I hit submit!

Thrills, action, suspenseful romance at its finest

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Trace went and talk to the boys on their last mission. That was a very touching and moving scene

I loved this action packed thriller that is full of passion, starting over and kicking some tail. The author gives you a wonderful amazing read that hooks you from page one with the thrilling fast pace action packed read. Trace is trying to get over losing his twin he is having a hard time and just about lose it. He is a mess and needs to take a step back but he needs to be in action which helps him forget or at least deal with his lose. Marlena is one smart cookie who has a very evil hateful father you would like to shoot. Nothing has been the same since her mother died and nothing will ever be the same when the truth comes out. Trace and Marlena have a lot of the same issues trying to forget, overcome your past and loss. With a one night stand and Marlena sneaking out they think they will never see each other again. Neither can forget the amazing night of passion they shared. Faith has a way of bring you around face, to meet your past as well as make it a life or death mission.

Jeffrey Kafer did a great job on narration the only trouble I had was he stopped for a little too long. I thought it was the end of the chapter or something was wrong with the audio. Then he would start talking again. I loved his rough and tough voice which really added to the narration. His character voices were outstanding. Mr. Kafer really puts emotion to his audios with deep rich male voices and lovely soft female ones. He gives just the right tones for each scene as he brings the story to life. I did not hear any background noise or any places where the audio volume was higher or lower than it was before.

Rachael Anderson has done it again! One of my favorites from her. Great characters, fantastic setting descriptions, great story line that kept me ignoring all other responsibilities for the day. A great, clean, contemporary romance.

This is a great book; this is the first book in the Texas Rose Ranch series by Katie Graykowski and narrated by Natalie Ross. CanDee McCain has been hired to write a history of the Roses empire. The Texas Rose Ranch has been home to the Rose family through five generations. Cinco Rose has preferred a saddle and solitude ever since his divorce that is until he meets CanDee. If you are looking for a great romance with humor, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

The narrator Natalie Ross did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I cant wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didnt want to stop until the end.

sassy and Fun

What a great story. Grabs your attention from the start and keeps you laughing. Loved the many one liners, I plan to get the rest of the Rose Ranch boys. Family feud doesn't even come close to this bunch of boys.

I enjoyed the humor of this story so much. The characters really come to life.

I did not like the male lead. He was not very "macho". I especially did not like the female lead. She was NOT funny - just obnoxious. Nothing much was happing in the story. After the first ten chapters, I skipped to the last two chapters just to find out the main outcome. That was enough for me.

Exactly what I was waiting for!

If you could sum up Phoenix Reborn in three words, what would they be?

Passionate, heartbreaking, perfect.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Phoenix Reborn?

Nix and Noah at Nix's special place, both times.

Have you listened to any of Marguerite Gavins other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to this entire series and though it's strange having a female narrate a majorly male cast series, she does a really good job of making sure each and every character has their own voice and tone. That is why I marked this one down just a smidge for performance. I was hoping Tyler would grab a male narrator for this story specifically since it's Nix and Noah's story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both. I absolutely love this series, and I wanted Nix and Noah's story from the first glance they shared several books back. The pain that Noah felt by being rejected by his mate was evident in the story when I read it, but Gavin really brought it home with her performance of the battle and what Noah had to do with the fire. I could feel his pain and I did shed a tear.

Any additional comments?

As I wrote above, I have followed this series from the start and I think each installment just gets better. I have to give Gavin props for not only carrying every character's voice from one book to the next without wavering, but having the ability to continually create new and different voices as the character base grows with each book.

This is a must listen series to anyone that likes shifter series, paranormal romance, strong female characters that can keep up with their male counterparts and something fresh and new with each new book in the series. I am partial to gay romance, so this would be my favorite in the series. That being said, if you don't normally read MM storylines, I think you'll be okay with this one as it's done tastefully and it fits in the series well.

Bad narration slays a mediocre story

I LOVE this series, but this novella was a disappointment. It could easily have been expanded into a full book. Nix and Noah deserved more! But the narration... If this same woman narrates the next book, I will definitely NOT buy it. H. O. R. R. I. B. L. E.

Too short.

I liked the book primarily, but compared to the other books it is very short and just written to finish up and include all the characters. The story of the 2 lovers was good, but short and rushed and the other characters were no more than back drop in this story.

I didn't like the narrator

What didnt you like about Lisa Cordileones performance?

I don't know if it was the narrator's fault or the author's fault but the woman characters didn't have different voices. The narrator would say the character's name and then say the dialog. So and so said, then so and so said.
