The final chapter of John's gospel features an intriguing vignette filled with much drama and grace. Fresh off of his denial of Jesus, Peter (along with the other disciples) find themselves at yet another frustrating point in life after fishing all night with nothing to show for it. Jesus greets them on the shore with a small miracle and breakfast, leading to an epic moment between Peter and Jesus. Join Tony and Russ as they button-up the gospel of John with a conversation in chapter 21.

This is the one where Mary doesn’t even recognize the risen Jesus. While belief seems to come slowly, Jesus has no worry or hurry about it. He is, after all, no longer dead and has just accomplished his mission. Join Tony and Jameson for a conversation in John 20.

The summit of John’s Gospel is the crucifixion of Jesus. The worst religion had to offer kills God in the name of obeying God. Reading John 19 in light of the tapestry John has woven through the rest of this Gospel brings a new level of shock to the death of God in Christ. Join Russ and Jameson for a conversation in John 19.

What do you make of an Incarnate Almighty who peacefully follows immoral mortals to the slaughter like a lamb? The only One who could actually condemn refuses to do so and is therefore condemned by the uncondemned! Join Jameson and Russ for a conversation in John 18.

Join Russ, Jameson, and Tony as they discuss John 17 and the idea—no, the reality - of eternal life, which is not a distinct or separate thing from knowing the Father and the one whom he sent.

There is peace that comes from emptying your inbox, padding your savings, buying an extended warranty, and investing in a home security system. And then there's the peace Jesus offers us dead smack in the middle of our own unbelief and bullsh*t. Join Russ, Jameson, and Tony for a conversation in John 16.

We're saved by faith, but that faith—if genuine—will produce fruit. If you're not bearing fruit, then you might be like the branches thrown into the burn pile here in John 15. Sound familiar? We've all heard this sort of interpretation, but is it what Jesus is ACTUALLY saying here in the 15th chapter of John's gospel? We think not. Tune in to hear some news that'll have your heart light up with joy.

Anxiety and fear are at an all-time high among the disciples in John 14, and yet Jesus is just moments away from being betrayed, beaten, and crucified. Instead of pressing into his own fears he spends some time comforting his friends in theirs. Join Tony and Russ as they explore the most unique gospel—the gospel of John—through the lens of the finished work of Jesus. This episode features a conversation about John 14.

Most would consider Judas and Peter to represent opposite sides of the spectrum regarding their commitment to Christ, and yet the denial of Peter and the betrayal of Judas are foreshadowed in the same chapter. And so, how does Jesus interact with the betrayer and denier? Both shared in the inaugural communion meal and had their feet washed. Grace to all of us betrayers and deniers alike.
