Lt. Governor Howie Morales called into the Bravo Mic Communications studios with Lyndsey Kalson of Las Cruces Today to announce the Las Cruces and Dona Ana County portion of funds being allocated from the national CARES Act. According to Lt. Governor Morales, Las Cruces City Government will receive over $7 Million in local government grants and over $5 million in awards for small businesses. Dona Ana County will receive 1.4 million in government grants and over $3 million in small business grants.Â

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has sent a letter to the athletic directors at NMSU and UNM asking them not to play fall contact sports. That would mean the cancellation of the Aggies' football and soccer seasons.
