8-year-old Rollins Eason (my son) has gone all in on the MCU. He's seen the benchmark movies (save for Iron Man and Captain America: Winter Soldier) and tells us all about what's good in them, who's the coolest, which one he wants to be and more!
Caught without a guest, I improvise an episode about improv. Improvise in the sense that upon my late night realization that I had no episode I opened the mic and started talking. Proust has nothing to worry about. This is a loose, one-man, oral history of a small slice of what it felt like to be a part of the theater at its nascent stages.

A special (if brief) episode to tackle some of our voluminous emails from our listeners. All of your questions are finally answered!
Jessica talks to me (James Eason) about the award-winning Fleabag starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge. There are secret confessions, earnest praise, men vs. women, and a pretty great or pretty awful dad joke.
Hyland Harris joins us to talk about two movies that attack race and prejudice through satire. Hyland is a jazz drummer, tai chi instructor (www.chutaichi.com), manager at Louis Armstrong House (https://www.louisarmstronghouse.org), and musicologist.
In this episode we get into a deep alternate theory of Watermelon Man (Godfrey Cambridge, Estelle Parsons, dir. Melvin Van Peebles), speculations on the behind-the-scenes of Putney Swope (Arnold Johnson, Antonio Fargas, dir. Robert Downey Sr.), and the evolutionary benefits of a turtleneck.

Erika Smith, one of the three "Hotties" from Hotties, joins us to gives her take on the kaleidoscopic experience of filming Hotties back in 2004 New York City. We find out how she got paid, romantic consequences, changes in the industry, and life after Hotties as a working actress
BJ Gallagher also got sucked into the Hotties vortex. He shares his experience with that 2005 low point in small independent film making.
A listener gave a shout out to "Hotties" a while back. If you don't know (and nobody should know anything about these movies), Hotties I & II are two flat-out awful movies that I was in back in 2005. It's cheap exploitation and all of us were suckered in by the listing which promised lots of improv. Well, I was 7 years deep into my improv journey and easily lured in. The whole experience and the final product are one collective dumpster fire, but it gave me a friend in Rick Younger. I force him to walk down this rancid memory lane with me just this once.
