What's up Internet? This week on Last Word SC Radio, the four cohosts are back with Matt back from vacation. We do MLS Contenders, Pretenders, and Pleasant Surprises. Then Rachael gets us caught on on the CONCACAF Champions League Semifinals and looks ahead to Seattle Sounders and Pumas in the final. The crew gets hyped for the USOC third round. We end with Last Words and Dan ranting about the state of the San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting KC.
There is just so much to talk about on this midweek edition of the Pod, as the CONCACAF Champions League Final is set with two longtime stalwarts of the respective leagues, Pumas U.N.A.M. vs. Seattle Sounders FC.
However, the UEFA Champions League is what has grabbed the biggest headlines with some superb games, a major upset, and even some actual fighting too.
The United States Women's National Team finish possibly their last window of victorious friendly matches with an 18-1 (9-1 and 9-0) over Uzbekistan. Can the young team take that forward into the upcoming CONCACAF W tournament in July?
Speaking of, the field is now complete and all of the squads now know who will compete in Mexico to determine who winds up representing CONCACAF in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Who could deliver a surprise? Is there a chance for any upsets? Or will it remain as you expected?
There's also the verbal agreement with Manchester United and Erik Ten Haag, Gio Reyna is injured again and is out for the rest of the club season, New England's freefall in MLS, and the announcement of a FIFA streaming service too.

Welcome back to another episode of the MnM Hockey Podcast! Today, Alex and Chace have a bunch of topics to hit from the week. Including a debate between the two on who would you take first when starting a franchise? Auston Matthews or Connor McDavid? It is very fair to say Matthews is having the better year, however, can you really say he's the best player? The guys debate both sides of the argument. They also look at the playoff picture and what losing Drew Doughty means for the LA Kings playoff chances.
Finally, they have a guest join them! AvsRobin joins the podcast to discuss the Colorado Avalanche season and what to expect heading into the playoffs. Is he worried about underlying numbers? What has such a dominant season been like to watch? As well, what does the team need to do to change the playoff outcomes from the past few seasons? They look over all of that and more!
Welcome back to another MnM Hockey Podcast! Today, Alex and Chace recap the NHL news they missed over the past 10 days or so. They didn't get to record last week because of school, however, that leaves them with plenty to discuss now. Including the passing of Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk. The guys send their condolences and agree now is not the right time for any speculation. From there, they get into a lengthy discussion about Keith Yandle and his Iron Man streak coming to an end. Why it shouldn't be a huge deal but also trying to play contrarian as well.
After that, they take a look at the playoff race in the East and West, including who they want to see make it from each division. They also discuss Auston Matthews and his insane goal pace, which quickly got outdated as he posted yet another three goals on Tuesday night after they recorded. Finally, they get a good laugh out of the Evgenii Dadonov trade situation and play part two of the NHL career game.
The United States Men's National Team only had to avoid defeat by six goals or more and they would return to the World Cup. Mission accomplished with only a 2-0 loss to a younger and more fiery Los Ticos side on the night. And while the game is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things, Sean and Erik still a have few things to ponder in regards to what occurred.
Should the USMNT's away form during qualifying be of any concern? How big a deal is it that the USA does not have a solidified striker as of yet and there are only two FIFA windows from here to when the 2022 FIFA World Cup begins on November 21 in Qatar. Should there be worry about the Goalkeeper position after two not so confident performances from Zack Steffen?
Plus, one final look around CONCACAF as Mexico takes care of business against El Salvador in Azteca to actually finish in second place ahead of the USMNT. Canada loses in their final game as well and tops the octagonal in the first place. Is it a done deal for Costa Rica against New Zealand? Not to mention, a look ahead to the World Cup Draw on Friday, the pots the teams are in, and the rest of the landscape around the globe for World Cup Qualifying too.
Remember you can also watch Soccer 2 the MAX in video format here: https://youtu.be/3oXvoBPav-Y
Sean and Erik will be back sometime between Friday and Saturday to discuss the 2022 FIFA World Cup Draw, where the CONCACAF teams landed, and make some WAY TOO EARLY predictions on who gets out of the groups too.
