  • NHL Trades and Signings Before the Deadline

Alex and Chace are back after a partial week off as they have lots to talk about. The NHL Trade Deadline is fast approaching. With that, also means lots of NHL trades and signings to look at. Some teams are extending their players that we thought might be trade pieces. Others are getting ahead of the game and moving players before the deadline. This not only potentially sets the market, but allows for teams to get accustomed to their new players a little sooner too.

Alex and Chace take a look at all of the trades and signings that have happened over the past week. The guys also discuss what they think the market may be like and who they think might move. With some teams pulling out, could it actually be a buyer's market? If so, does that lead to less overall movement? The guys hope for the best and discuss their thought process through it all.

  • Senators Embarrassing Road Trip and Future Roster

Alex is back to recap a busy week of Ottawa Senators hockey. Today, he is trying something new. For the first time ever he is doing the episode without a guest. Alex goes solo and gives his opinions on the Ottawa Senators record and their recent play. Highlighting why he believes the team still has quite a ways to go if they truly want to be contenders. Since the last recording, Ottawa lost five in a row, including losing to two of the worst teams in the league. However, they finished a miserable road trip with a convincing win.

From there, Alex looks at the return of Colin White and how he has had a great start to his season. As well as the need to remove Nikita Zaitsev from the lineup. Overall, Alex looks forward to the deadline and what he wants the Sens to do. A guest will return for the next episode, but for now, enjoy the rants!

  • Blackhawks Hire Kyle Davidson, Playoff Race, and New Career Game

The guys are back with another week of content. This week, they take a look at the Chicago Blackhawks finally hiring a new General Manager. They hired Kyle Davidson to be their General Manager. Alex and Chace get a laugh out of the fact that after all the talk about new hiring practices, they go with the guy who has been there for over 10 years. Regardless, they look at the future of the team and what needs to be done to avoid being 24th every season.

They also discuss the playoff race in each division, looking at the odds for who may win the division. It is only the Atlantic that is yet to be locked up, as the other three look pretty safely in hand. Finally, the guys debut a new segment. They don't have a name for it, however. The new segment is a game where Alex reads a player's career teams he played for and Chace needs to guess what NHL player that is. However, if Chace is stuck, he can use hints as well. Can you beat Chace? Find out, with the MnM Hockey Podcast.

  • Ottawa Senators Health, Goaltending, and Deadline Decisions with Graeme Nichols

Welcome back to the Last Word on Sens podcast. This week, Alex has Graeme Nichols making his return to the podcast! Today, the two discuss the last two weeks of games from the Senators and ask the question can you be taking moral victories at this point in the rebuild? From there, they discuss what this Ottawa Senators roster may look like with everyone healthy again and what summer additions could be made to really improve the team.

They also speak on Matt Murray and his recent play plus the fact that he can't stay healthy. This leads to a discussion of what to do with Anton Forsberg because Filip Gustavsson needs to start too. All of that heads towards a larger deadline discussion on who might get sold and the fact that this should be the last season as deadline sellers. Alex and Graeme debate between Erik Brannstrom and his future with the Ottawa Senators as well.

  • Ilya Lyubushkin Trade, Coyotes Future, and Nathan MacKinnon

Alex and Chace are back with plenty more to discuss. This week, their main piece of news is the Ilya Lyubushkin Trade. Alex starts off by joking that only in Toronto can a sixth defenceman cause this much discussion, but there are lots of items to talk about. Including what the guys thought of the trade, what does it mean going forward, and can you praise or blame Dubas for the Nick Ritchie contract and its removal?

After, they take a look at the Coyotes' side of things. Once again going over the insane amount of draft picks they have picked up. Alex starts to wonder who is even going to be left with other rumours about the team trading players. However, the guys take a look at future options for the team. From there, they ask the question of how did Nathan MacKinnon avoid suspension? A slash to a referee almost always guarantees something. Finally, they play a game of where are they now? Can you beat Chace's score?
