  • Soccer 2 the MAX: USA vs Panama Review: Christian Pulisic’s Hat Trick Puts the USMNT Within Touching Distance of Qualifying

The United States Men's National Team replicated their feat from 2017 in getting a blowout victory against Panama in the final home game of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying. Thus, eliminating said team in the process and putting the USMNT a mere 90 minutes and some decent play away from punching their ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Christian Pulisic got the Hat Trick, and the FC Dallas duo of Jesus Ferreira and Paul Arriola nabbed the other two goals in the process. How much should we take from the win? Should there be worries about the sloppy play? Or is this all about the positives of less possession but more chances? Of course, there has to be some discussion on the individual performances too.

Plus, thoughts on who should start on Wednesday and we go around CONCACAF as Canada officially qualifies to their first World Cup since 1986 after a 4-0 thrashing of Jamaica. Mexico grinds out another one in a 1-0 win against Honduras, and Costa Rica guarantees themselves at least an intercontinental playoff spot with a 2-1 win over El Salvador.

  • Reviewing the Ottawa Senators Trade Deadline with Brandon Piller

Alex is back after a busy weekend with the NHL Trade Deadline. Last week, he previewed the Ottawa Senators Trade Deadline. Looking at what to expect and what moves they might make. Including a big move from another Canadian team. However, they didn't get the correct defenceman. This week, Brandon Piller makes his return to the podcast! The two look at each trade that the Senators made this deadline.

This includes Travis Hamonic and trading away fan favourite Nick Paul. As well as discussing what the return for each trade brings to the team. After that, they discuss what they want to see this season as the last 20 games are once again relatively meaningless. Finally, they have a discussion about the future of the Ottawa Senators goaltending and what they thought of the Anton Forsberg contract. Is it good? Too much? Alex thinks it might be shades of past contracts the team has signed that have not worked out very well. Tune in for all of that and more!

  • Video Games 2 the MAX: Strangers of Paradise, Tunic, A New Witcher Saga, More

After an unintended long layoff, Video Games 2 the MAX has returned with Sean and Marc joined by Jens Dietrich to talk about, you guessed it, more Elden Ring.

Marc also has final thoughts on Horizon Forbidden West as he's beaten the game. Sean's also been playing some games too, with Tunic and Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin being the two main ones.

There are quite a few things to discuss since the last episode, as CD Projekt has announced a new saga of The Witcher series is in development. Although scarce details are available as they are basically in the beginning stages. At least it is being made with Unreal Engine this time. Moon Studios is hugely toxic according to many former employees.

We discuss some of the aspects of why this is so concerning and how it played a role in why Microsoft did not push to acquire them. Sony had not one, but two State of Plays since our last episode, and they've also acquired yet another studio in Haven. Supermassive has a new game, Gotham Knights is actually coming out, and much more.

  • 32 Team NHL Trade Deadline Review

Alex and Chace are back after a very busy NHL trade deadline! If you missed any of it, you can find all the deals at Last Word on Hockey. However, Alex and Chace run through everything in this episode. Today, it is their longest episode yet. Stretching almost two full hours, the guys look at every single trade. Giving you in-depth analysis of what they think and grading each teams deadline.

However, not every trade is something they agree on. In fact, they have a very big debate surrounding did the Tampa Bay Lightning do the right thing with spending two first-round picks on Brandon Hagel? Alex thinks the move was really smart, whereas Chace was not near as sold. Later, Alex loses it on his favourite team for not learning anything from past mistakes. It is a loaded episode and you don't want to miss a second. Which teams bought the best? Got the most value? What about teams that should have sold but didn't? It is all discussed here.

  • Ottawa Senators Trade Deadline Preview with Matt Bosty

Alex is back after his solo stint last week! This time, he has Matt Bosty making his return to the podcast! Matt is making his fourth appearance and as always, the mood becomes a lot lighter when he joins. The two preview the Ottawa Senators Trade Deadline together. Examining who may be moved, who they would move, and what fans should expect leading up to Monday afternoon.

They also discuss some trade proposals which include Matt proposing a very interesting trade idea between Ottawa and another Canadian team. Other than just trade deadline talk, the guys also discuss the frustration of the fanbase after a very long season that was supposed to be better. Another topic of interest becomes what do you do with goaltending going forward? Anton Forsberg seems to be here for the year, but can you even trust Matt Murray going forward?
