Something is wrong in Habs-Ville. The Montreal Canadiens are falling apart, again. The failure of this team is in all phases. The defense can't defend, the offense can't score, their special teams are bad and they can't transition. The collapse is on and it looks like there is no way to save it.
In their most important week of the season, the Habs laid an egg. They failed to show up in the first two games against the Calgary Flames, who are chasing the Habs for the final playoff spot. In what seems like an insurmountable lead in the standings, the Flames now sit four points back after taking the first two of a three-game set (the last game is Monday). Overall, the Habs went 1-3 in the week, and it doesn't get any easier.
Compounding the on-ice issues, the Habs have Cole Caufield with the team, but only to practice. Due to the salary cap and call-up rules, Caufield is unlikely to see NHL action. The issue is two-fold. The Habs mismanaged their cap and call-ups which is preventing them from using Caufield. The other is why they aren't sending Caufield back to Laval to play in actual games.
All this and, player's comments to the media, Habs fandom, and much much more.
TUNE IN!

Enjoy the show and join us on May 8th for the following episode!
Alex and Chace are back a week after the NHL Trade Deadline has passed. Today, they take a look at some NHL contracts that have been signed since the deadline. Names including Adam Lowry, Tanner Pearson and more. Alex discusses why he dislikes a large majority of these deals, feeling the teams would have been better off moving on from them. However, they also discuss Alex Edler and his suspension. Chace states why he likes the suspension and Alex discusses why it feels surprising one was even handed down, to begin with.
From there, they take a look at the Patrick Marleau record as he now has played more games in the NHL than anyone else in history. Some celebrated, others not so much. The guys take a look at both sides of the argument. Finally, Alex and Chace discuss the playoff races in the NHL. Moreso the lack of races happening due to divisional play this season. They talk about whether it's more aggressive and how the wild card actually helps. Tune in for all of that and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

This week the guys look back on the trade deadline and what he Habs did. Can Jonathon Merrill and Erik Gustafsson help the Habs struggling defense? Well, their quarantine period is coming to an end so we will see this week, hopefully.
The Habs had some games to play also. Unfortunately for the fans, we had to watch them. On the bright side, the Habs went 2-2 in their four games. The bad part is they looked absolutely terrible in the last three games. Something is not right in Habs land. The guys do their best to get to the bottom of the issue. They also try to keep their spirits up... not an easy task.
All this and coaching decisions, does Cole Caufield play with the Habs this year, the schedule, is Marc Bergevin making lineup decisions, will the Habs make the playoffs, and much much more!

On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX hosts Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss the games they are playing such as Marc finally trying out Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Taiko No Tatsujin, although he got some bad news about his drums. Sean also played Another Eden a mobile JRPG that was put on Steam and how he’s so glad his PC has a touch screen. Alex is back after a week of Ottawa Senators Trade Deadline action! While it was a quieter one than usual, there is still plenty to talk about. To help him discuss things, Alex is joined by Steve on Sens! The two start by taking a look at the Mike Reilly, Erik Gudbranson, and Braydon Coburn trades. Dissecting each one and also giving their thoughts on how well Dorion did.
From there, they discuss Victor Mete, his claim, and where Ottawa goes from here. Talking about both the blueline and also the development of players up front this season. Looking at why it is so important for Ottawa in this rebuild that guys like Alex Formenton, Josh Norris, and Drake Batherson have all taken a firm step forward. Additionally, they quickly discuss who Ottawa could lose to Seattle in this expansion draft and what they would pay to move Nikita Zaitsev and his contract to Seattle. Tune in for all of that and more, with the Last Word on Sens Podcast!
Alex and Chace are back with the NHL Trade Deadline coverage. Last week, they did the NHL Trade Deadline preview. For that, they went through each team and discussed what they should do. Should they buy, sell, or stay put? As well as which players to buy or sell. However, now that the deadline has passed, the guys take a look at some of the trades that actually happened.
Chace has some strong opinions on the Toronto Maple Leafs and their deadline, describing it as underwhelming. As well, Alex thinks the winner of the deadline has to be one of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, or Boston Bruins. The guys also discuss a couple of the teams they were disappointed in that they didn't do anything. A pair of teams they thought should sell, but recent winning streaks to place them firmly in fourth changed their minds. As well as a team or two in the North that did nothing but probably should have looked to add.
