It's been a rough week for the Montreal Canadiens. After a seemingly character-building win over the Edmonton Oilers, the Habs hit a wall. The Habs were humbled by the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets. On top of the three losses, the Habs also lost Brendan Gallagher and Carey Price to injury. Gallagher is out for six weeks with a broken finger. Price, as usual, is shrouded in mystery.
With the Habs clearly struggling something needs to be done. The trade deadline is here, so if Marc Bergevin has a move to make, he better do it now. The hopes are he does something drastic, but the reality is probably nothing. Still, we can hope!
All this and Cole Caufield's debut, Eric Staal's usage, coaching decisions, and much much more!
Tune in!

On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX we have way better audio for one, also hosts Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss the news from Bloomberg that The Last of Us Remake is in production and is now being headed by Naughty Dog but it was actually once the task of another studio Visual Arts Service Group. The guys discuss the history of that studio, the news that Bend Studio tried to pitch a Days Gone 2, if Last of Us Remake will follow the HBO show or be super faithful to the original game, and of course there’s a discussion on should it be even made in the first place.
Alex and Chace are back with a loaded week of content. Today, they take a look at the NHL Trade Deadline preview. Instead of looking at a trade bait board, the guys decide to take a look at each team individually. They go through each division and for each team, list whether or not they should buy, sell, or stay put. However, they also discuss if the team will actually do that, not just what Alex and Chace would do.
They then talk about what players the team should sell if they are on that, and maybe what return to expect as well. Additionally, they take a look at what position teams that are buying need to fill. Giving some details on why they feel they need that and who might be a fit. The guys did record this Wednesday afternoon, so the Kyle Palmieri trade is not a part of the discussion. However, it will be there next week when they do their NHL Trade Deadline recap!
Alex is back after two weeks off due to school and a lack of Ottawa Senators games. However, he now has lots to discuss as there have been plenty that has happened since the last episode. Joining him for the second time is Trevor Shackles of the Silver Seven Sens. The two start by discussing the Christian Wolanin trade and why it was a disappointing end to his Sens tenure. As well as what Michael Amadio could bring to Ottawa.
From there, they preview what is in store for Ottawa at the NHL Trade Deadline coming up. Going through who they think will get traded and discussing who they would be trading if they were the general manager of the team. Discussing some potential free agents and whether Ottawa should keep them or sell them for a draft pick. After that, they quickly look at Ottawa's goaltending situation again, and what to make of it.
On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX hosts Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss Narita Boy, Theatrythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival, Dirt 5, and more.

The Habs were back in action this week after having four games canceled due to COVID protocols. The week started off well, as the Canadiens looked rested and fresh and took care of business against the Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators in some convincing fashion. Carey Price even got his first shutout of the year, while Jake Allen ALMOST got his as well. Unfortunately, the week ended on a sour note against those damn pesky Sens. The game really exposed the Canadieins' shortcomings in their own end. It's a big problem that needs to be addressed.
The big news moving forward is Eric Staal can now play for the Habs after his quarantine period ended. Habs coach Dominique Ducharme said Staal would play the Habs next game against the Oilers Monday. It will be interesting to see he is used in his first game with the bleu, blanc, rouge. Along with Staal, the debut of Cole Caufield is also getting fans excited. It seems he will start the year in Laval but it's would not be surprising to see him get a look with the Habs this year.
All this and Connor McDavid's elbow, Connor's interactions with Edmonton media, trade talk much much more.
TUNE IN!
