on The Kickoff this week, host Harry Broadhurst along with Erik Watkins, Jason Teasley, and Brandon Biskobing discuss the big headlines in College Football in the NFL in their own way.Long-time favorite segments like Studs and Duds where we highlight the best and worst performances...So That Happened breaks down Sam Darnold's ghosts becoming literal, Jamal Adams opening his mouth and removing all doubt, not one but two tries with Miles to Go in Kansas and a bad week to be a ranked team in the Big 12...Get it Together calls out the underperforming amongst us...Are You Serious is the weekly against the spread prediction segment (with updated overall standings)."I've Got a Question" takes a hiatus due to the late showtime, so the guys discuss the goings in with their own teams in "Pour One Out for the Homers". Finally, "I'm a Survivor" continues as a king sits solely on top of the throne while a tumble takes one of us back to the beginning.

What's up Internet? This week on Last Word SC Radio, Rachael joins Matt off of attending the NWSL final. The two recap the MLS Cup Playoffs to date, recapping the Conference Semifinals from this past week. We look ahead to the MLS Cup Conference Finals from the perspective of all four teams remaining. 

Rachael discusses the NWSL finals day that was, what is says about North Carolina Courage and what's next for Chicago Red Stars. 

We finish off discussing Tab Ramos to Houston Dynamo and do MLS Cup Conference Finals Pick 'Ems.

The guys are back with a full schedule of things to talk about. The NHL Season is back and Alex and Chace look to talk about all their early thoughts for the year. They start by looking at the Nico Hischier contract and discussing why this could be a very big steal in a few seasons. Looking at if he is underrated or not and why people shouldn't be upset about this. The guys then switch to the New Jersey Devils start and also will Taylor Hall stay or not?

Next, they take a look at the Toronto Maple Leafs and their complaints with Head Coach Mike Babcock. There has been lots of talk about Babcock, however, Alex thinks a lot of the complaining is unjustified. Believing that Babcock has done what many fans have asked him to do for the past few seasons and that the complaining is unjustified. Once they have a conversation about the backup role, they decide to look around the league at other teams starts.

Finally, the guys take a look at teams like the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres and talk about why the early-season points matter. Looking at what kind of hockey they would have to play to keep pace and make the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs this season.

Last Word on Habs Pod: The State of the Montreal Canadiens Defence

On this week's episode, the guys discuss Johannes' big award! After years of toiling away in the central Vermont Ice Age recreational hockey league, Jo was awarded the John Connell award. While rumors exist of the number of bribes he had to pay out, Johannes is a deserving winner of an award that celebrates the spirit of the group and played with grace and tenacity. So, Johannes now has a new centerpiece for his dinning room table... and a new embroidered Bauer jacket to boot. A couple of life long goals completed. 

On to the Habs, who had an even week, losing to the Sharks but besting the Leafs. For as depressing the loss was to San Jose, the thrashing the Habs gave the Leafs more than made up for it. Still, there were some concerning things about the Habs overall play through 10 games. The defensive coverage has been an eyesore. They have also surrendered eight goals in the last minute of a period so far this season. These are not good trends. 

All this and winners and losers, will the Habs be able to fix their issue before it's too late,  can Marc Bergevin pull of a major trade during the season, and much much more.

Last Word on Habs Pod: Development Plans

On this week's episode, the guys record fresh of the Habs loss to the Wild. Still, the guys thought the Habs played well this week, even though the team went 2-2. The power play has been producing well and looked better, which has the guys happy.

The guys then discuss a topic that Connor heard on the radio. It has to do with the Habs long term development plans. Connor wonders if the Habs are sacrificing long term success for short term gain. Johannes tries to be the voice of reason. Needless to say, the guys are not necessarily sold on the Habs plans.
