Last Word on Habs Pod: Three Games Left
The Montreal Canadiens only have three games left in the 2018-19 NHL season. Connor and Johannes recap the Habs big week. For the second time in three games, the Habs came up short against a team they are battling for a playoff spot.
Still, the Habs started their brutal final stretch of games with a win over the Jets in Winnipeg. Now all the team has to do is sweep Tampa Bay, Washington and Toronto to give themselves a chance at the postseason. Shockingly Connor and Johannes have some bold predictions about the final week.
The guys then discuss the unfortunate injury to Paul Byron. They debate whether fighting should still have a place in the game. They wonder what exactly the 'code' is and why Byron even accepted the fight.
All this and Jesperi Kotkaniemi, big games down the stretch, optimism, the hockey gods, winners and losers and much much more!

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - Mike Babcock, Eugene Melnyk and More
The guys are back with a full week of news. First, they take a look at the Toronto Maple Leafs. Comments and possible tweets from Mike Babcock and Kyle Dubas? Alex and Chace both seem to think this has been an overreaction. But why exactly? As well, they look at what Mike Babcock may truly be thinking.
Next, they switch and look at what Eugene Melnyk said on the radio this year. Alex is fed up with his team and wants to know why they can't be better at everything. Chace has some questions for why Melnyk would even think this is a good idea. As well, Alex breaks down the whole situation and why they would never move the team.
After that, they switch to even more comments. This time coming from Bob Nicholson on Tobias Rieder. The guys wonder what on Earth was going through Nicholson's head. They also highlight why this is terrible news for Edmonton. Not just because of the comments but what it means moving forward.
Lastly, they take a look at the Montreal Canadiens vs Columbus Blue Jackets playoff race. The guys decide who they think will make it. Along with asking the question will Columbus fire their coach or GM if they miss playoffs? What about if they just miss one round? Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

Last Word on Habs Pod: Coping in Real Time
On this week's episode, Connor and Johannes deal with their emotions immediately following the Habs 2-1 overtime loss to Carolina. It definitely put a sour taste in our host's mouths but Connor seemed extra bitter.
The guys reflect on what was a very positive week for the Habs. The team won three in a row and took seven of eight points, putting them in the playoffs for the time being. Still, the guys have some questions about what the Habs coaching staff feels gives the team it's best opportunity to win. With only six games left, the Habs can't afford many slip-ups.
All this and baby Daniel talk, sleep deprivation, what is the Habs ultimate plan, team schedules, winners and losers and much much more!
    TUNE IN!

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - Improving Eliminated NHL Teams
The guys are back and as playoffs approach, the number of eliminated NHL teams grow. Alex and Chace decided to look at the eliminated NHL teams and decide how to improve them
They start with the few that are truly eliminated. They look at a team like Ottawa that was the first eliminated NHL team. However, they try to give other options than get a new owner. The guys break down what went wrong for each team. As well, they look at are they on the right path and if not what is needed to get to the right path.
Next, they look at teams who are very likely not going to make it. Teams that technically still have a chance, however, are so far behind it would take more than a miracle. Alex and Chace decide where these types of teams are at too. Are they on a decline? Or an uprise? Stick to the course or blow it all up? All questions the guys ask themselves.
Finally, they switch gears and look at the teams right on the bubble. Teams that may not make it, however, still have a legit chance. Last Word on Habs Pod: Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks
On this week's episode of the pod, Johannes takes us inside his triumphant Hyde Cup performance. The guys thought it important to inject some joy into the show before discussing the Habs this week.
Unfortunately, the guys have to talk about the Habs, who laid another egg this past week. The guys are frustrated with how the team has looked, specifically with the coaching decisions Claude Julien has been making as of late. It's hard to argue that the team has not looked the same since the trade deadline.
With the end of the season right around the corner, the Habs have a bunch of must-win games coming up. Do the guys believe the Habs can fight their way into the playoffs? In a word, no but they have been wrong before!
All this and Connor's foul language, Kotkaniemi's usage, the f'in power play, winners and losers and much much more,
