Latch-Key Dads

As a kid there was nothing better than opening a pack of baseball cards hoping you'd get one of your favorite players. Sometimes you'd get lucky with a Darryl Strawberry or Mike Schmidt, but most of the time it was Ken Phelps and Dennis Lamp. On this episode of Latch-Key Dads, Tim and Greg open up some vintage baseball and football cards hoping for a Ken Griffey, Jr. or Barry Sanders card. Will they be successful and retire early, or will we be back in two weeks? Only one way to find out...

In this episode of Latch-Key Dads, Tim and Greg review the "classic" 1984 comedy, Police Academy.  Remember being a kid and laughing hysterically at the hijinx of Mahoney, Hightower, and Lt. Harris? Well, sometimes fond memories should be left as memories. To say Police Academy aged well would be like saying Jaws 3 was a good idea. Enjoy!

On this episode of Latch-Key Dads, Tim and Greg run an NCAA bracket-style competition to determine the best Halloween candy. With special guest Adam, the guys debate and argue through two divisions, one candy and one chocolate, to determine the ultimate winner. The discussion was so intense that the episode had to be broken into two parts! Will Nerds come out on top of the Candy Division - or does Candy Corn stand in their way? Will the king of all chocolate, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, smash their way to the crown? Only one way to find out....

Growing up our parents would drive us all over the place; the skating rink, movie theatre, baseball practice, and birthday parties. AM/FM Radio - yes! Air conditioning - nope! Seat belts - optional! Yes, the 80's were a glorious time to be a kid and we had some of the most unique cars; from large Ford gas-guzzlers to the amazing Volkswagen Beetle. Join Tim and Greg as they discuss their family cars growing up. The family truckster - where would we be without it!

There are major events, trends, and movies that define every generation. These things provide shared experiences and help define who we are. In this episode of Latch-Key Dads, we talk about those shared experiences that Tim and Greg missed out on. Greg didn't see the Challenger explosion? Tim never saw Friday the 13th? Check out the episode and find out if these offenses are enough to get their 80's card revoked.
