LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW with Terry Jaymes episodes

  • WE SAW A GHOST

    WE SAW A GHOST.

I know. That sounds like the title of a YouTube video made by two people desperately trying to get you to click.

Except we actually did. In this episode, my wife Shari joins me to talk about the night we both saw the same damn ghost at the same time. Which is important, because if I had seen it alone, Shari could have spent the rest of our marriage gently explaining that I was tired, stressed, hallucinating, or just getting old. But she saw it too. And once we told the story, the Wombats came out of the paranormal woodwork.

Thanks for all the great calls. The phones lit up with callers telling us about ghosts, unexplained encounters, creepy houses, strange visitors and those moments when your rational brain says, “There has to be a perfectly logical explanation for this,” while the rest of your body is screaming, “GET THE HELL OUT OF THE HOUSE.”

What started as Shari and me telling one story turned into exactly what I hoped the LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW could become: strangers calling in late at night, telling stories they probably don't tell everybody else.

This led to a story I've really told of one of the strangest things that's ever happened to me.

This felt like late-night radio. And somewhere during this episode, I realized something: I think we're onto something here. So yes, ghosts, paranormal encounters and things that make absolutely no sense are officially going to be a regular part of this show.

Turn the lights down. Pour something. And if you hear a noise behind you while you're watching... I'm sure it's nothing. Probably. Welcome to the LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW

  • SEX AND THE DEATH OF DATING

Tonight two popular radio vets attack what everyone seems to be talking about.

Is tech ruining sex and dating?

LATE NIGHT RADIO is back and interesting again. Guest host Molly Paige is BACK after a technical issue hijacked her last appearance.

Since Molly specializes in relationships, sex and the increasingly bizarre ways humans try to connect with each other, we have some unfinished business.

Tonight we’re asking: Is America in a ROMANCE RECESSION?

Has LinkedIn somehow made the accidental pivot from “Let’s connect professionally” to “So…you seeing anybody?”

Is AI ruining your game by doing all the flirting for you?

Are people finally retreating from social-media dating?

Molly weighs in. Terry probably overshares. And then YOU get involved. LET'S SEE WHERE THE NIGHT TAKES US.

  • YOU GUYS MADE ME CRY

I’ve visualized this night more times than I can count.

Well, all but the technical issues.

Walking into a dark studio. Sitting down behind the microphone. Watching the phone lines light up. Not knowing who was on the other end or where the conversation was going to take me.

Tonight, it actually happened. And somewhere along the way, I stopped trying to “do a show” and just kicked back and let the night sweep me away.

The callers were incredible. Brave, honest, funny, vulnerable and willing to go places most people avoid in everyday conversation.

I met some seriously cool people tonight. We went deep. In fact, one caller completely shifted my perspective on what was happening. I realized I was sitting there experiencing the exact thing I’d been chasing.

This is success to me. Not numbers. Not views. Not some algorithm deciding I had a good night. THIS. A dark studio. A microphone. Phones lighting up. Strangers trusting me enough to tell me something real. Conversations that start in one place and somehow end up somewhere none of us expected.

For a long time, the LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW was just something I could see in my head.

Tonight, parts of that vision became real. And I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who called, watched, listened, opened up and helped create this thing with me.

You didn’t just listen to the dream tonight. You became part of it. Thank you. Now I want to see where the night takes us next.

  • KEEPING DREAMS ALIVE AND FINDING A WIFE IN VIETNAM

THE DEBUT: Dreams, Late-Night Radio & Running Away to Vietnam.

Welcome to the very first episode of THE LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW.

This show was built around a simple idea: bring back the magic of late-night radio.

The kind of radio where you never knew what was going to happen next. Strange conversations. Honest confessions. Random phone calls. Big questions. And that feeling that somewhere out there, somebody else was awake too.

For the debut, Terry is joined by headline comedian Michael Pace, who has appeared on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Michael and Terry go down the late-night radio rabbit hole, talking about the legendary hosts they grew up listening to and why those voices coming through the dashboard after dark felt so damn magical.

But then things get a little deeper.

What happens when you realize a dream you've carried for years might not happen? When do you keep fighting for it?When do you let it go?And how the hell do you know the difference?Terry shares his 5-step plan for keeping your hopes and dreams alive — especially when age, reality, disappointment and that annoying little voice in your head are all suggesting you should probably “be realistic.

”That conversation inspires Kami to call the show and tell us about a life-changing decision she made while trying to let go of one of her own dreams.

And because this is THE LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW, somehow we also end up fantasizing about abandoning everything and living the single life in Vietnam.

Dreams. Regrets. Comedy. Reinvention. Late-night confessions. Vietnam.

    Not bad for Night One.

Turn the lights down.Put the headphones on.Stay up a little later than you should.

Welcome to THE LATE NIGHT RADIO SHOW. If you miss the magic of late-night radio, subscribe and become part of what we're building. And most importantly…Don’t go to bed yet

  • AFTER 33 YEARS. SHE'S ASKED ME THIS BEFORE.

My wife Shari and I got away for the weekend.

These little escapes have become important to us. It's a chance to reconnect, talk about the future, make plans and occasionally pretend we have our sh*t figured out.

But this trip took an unexpected turn.

Shari usually doesn't ask me too many questions about my career.

After 33 years of marriage to a BIG dreamer, I'm pretty sure she's heard enough ideas to last several lifetimes.

But she's quietly watched me dig in on one particular idea: The Late Night Radio Show.

At one point she looked at me and said, "Whatever you're planning seems very personal."

    She was right.

    Then she started asking questions.

Real questions. Why this show? Why now? What am I trying to create? And why does this one seem to matter so much?

Since I apparently can't experience an emotional moment without eventually turning it into content, I grabbed my phone and started recording.

There was no plan. No lighting. No microphones. No prepared answers.Just Shari asking me about a dream I'm still trying to figure out myself.

I originally recorded this just for us—for history's sake. I wanted something I could look back on someday if this crazy vision actually becomes what I see in my head.

Then I thought… maybe this is exactly the kind of conversation the show is supposed to be about.

    So here it is.

Before the show. Before we know if it works. Before I know how the story ends.

This is what the dream looks like right now

  • THIS JUST MIGHT BE WHAT I'VE BEEN PRAYING FOR

SHINE with Terry Jaymes – Confidence, The Universe, Relationships & The Butter Show 🧈✨ (LIVE)

    Tonight felt different.

I can’t explain it, but I feel like I’m getting my confidence back. Not the loud, radio-guy confidence. The grounded kind. The earned kind. The “I’ve been through some things and I’m still standing” kind.

    And here’s the wild part…

I have this very strong feeling that the universe is taking me absolutely nowhere special.

    Not to a mountaintop.
    Not to a grand finale.
    Not to some glitter-covered destiny.

    Just… forward.

    And honestly? That feels amazing.

We had a bunch of new faces in the live chat tonight (which fired me up more than you know), and I genuinely feel like some real friendships are forming here. That’s not algorithm. That’s energy.

I also answered two powerful emails:

    • One from a man who feels like he’s losing his wife — and doesn’t know how to stop it.
    • Another about success… but this one came with a warning that most people ignore.

Plus — we talked about the debut of The Butter Show 🧈 (yes, it’s happening… and yes, it’s exactly as weird as it sounds).

If you’re in a season of rebuilding confidence…
If you feel like life isn’t taking you somewhere “special” but you’re still hopeful…
If you want honest conversation without the motivational fluff…

    You’re in the right place.

    Welcome to SHINE.
    We don’t sparkle.
    We glow from friction.

  • MY 40 YEAR OLD WOMAN WORKOUT AND HOW TO BE A MASTER AT MANIFESTING

Today on SHINE with Terry Jaymes… we covered cardio, butter, emotional spirals, and hope. You know — wellness.

Terry kicks things off with an update on his latest fitness era: white woman workouts. That’s right. We’re talking highly committed, mildly aggressive, spiritually confusing exercise energy. If you’ve ever stretched like you’re healing generational trauma while secretly competing with everyone in the room, this one’s for you.

Then we check in on the delicious empire known as The Butter Show (yes, butter journalism is still happening and yes, it still matters).

But the real turn? The gym observations.

Terry dives into the haunting aura of desperation surrounding older guys at the gym — men mid-rep, mid-identity crisis, still fighting to become the version of themselves they feel inside. It’s funny. It’s uncomfortable. It’s weirdly heartfelt. And Terry makes the case that the women in their lives might need to understand what’s really going on behind the protein shakes and unnecessary supersets.

Then it’s email time, where things get real:
How do you stay in a positive mindset when life is going good — without sabotaging it, overthinking it, or waiting for the other shoe to drop?

    Classic SHINE territory:
Laugh. Observe humanity. Accidentally have an emotional breakthrough.

    If you’ve ever:
    • reinvented yourself at the gym
    • emotionally processed through snacks
    • felt hopeful and suspicious about it

    Welcome home.

  • WTF IS SHINE with Terry Jaymes

I couldn't let well enough alone. My new LIVE STREAMING show starts Tuesday 1/20. So I took to YouTube, Facebook and Twitch to let you know what to look for and to play my new theme song. That turned into a talk about taking responsibility for all your thoughts and actions. To quote one of the viewers "You just did your first show."

  • HOT FOR TEACHER

Another round of uncomfortably honest fun with Terry Jaymes on MAKE IT WEIRD.

This time we dive into the things you’d never admit at a dinner party but secretly can’t stop thinking about:

Why half the planet seems to have had a thing for their teacher (and the awkward fallout).

The lies people are currently living like they’re starring in their own low-budget soap opera.

And the absolute art of taking something beautiful in your life… and smashing it with both hands like it’s a piñata full of regret.

It’s raw. It’s hilarious. It’s uncomfortable in all the best ways. And as always, no small talk—just straight into the deep end.

  • WHY WOMAN LIKE DIRTBAGS

Terry Jaymes is back with another round of raw, unfiltered calls where strangers skip the BS and dive straight into the weird.

First up is Casey, who opens up about one of the worst nights of her life—turns out rock bottom comes with a few decent lessons. Next, Sasan takes us on a ride from shattered bones to the eternal mystery of why women keep chasing dirtbag dudes like it’s an Olympic sport. Finally, Ed calls in, and let’s just say things got spicy fast—this one’s definitely not safe to play in church.

It’s messy, it’s awkward, it’s hilarious, and it’s all happening LIVE. No script, no safety net… just Terry and three callers proving once again that small talk is for cowards.
