A sweet and heartwarming story about a young Latina who discovers her magical powers and uses them to save her friend and other missing children. The book is rich in Latinx culture and explores important themes such as classism, colorism, and the importance of family and community.
The book features a strong and relatable Latina protagonist. Pao is intelligent, resourceful, and determined to save her friend. She also struggles with her own identity and her place in the world, which makes her feel more real and relatable.

The book does a great job of representing Latinx culture. The author includes references to Spanish language, folklore, and traditions throughout the story. This helps to create a sense of authenticity and makes the book feel more accessible to Latinx readers.
