Laugh Support

Laugh Support couldn’t ask for anything MORE than to have on the podcast an incredible guest like TOMMY MOORE!  Or should we say, “The electrifying Tommy Moore!”  The second time was a charm as Tommy, Michele, and June battled power outages, tornado sirens, and still managed to be sure that the show went on. There was no shortage of powerful stories, advice, and insight from someone who has been doing stand-up since 1973. You’ll hear stories about Jerry Lewis, Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, and that’s not all!

If you are a comedian, we suggest you get a paper and a pen and take notes on all the nuggets of gold Tommy has to share.  From “Who you want to be” to finding out what this statement means:  “Shoes don’t laugh.”  You will walk away from this interview having learned, laughed, and listened to one of the wisest and kindest comics of our time.

And a quick note of “THANKS” to Tommy’s wife Suzanne for her technical skills and willingness to help us make this episode happen.

ADAM BUSH is this week's multi-talented guest on Laugh Support. From writing to performing, Adam has found a solid foundation with an amazing wife, his comedy crew, and his faith in God. Fortunately Adam didn’t bounce out as this episode started with June and Michele showing off their legs before bringing Adam onto the show! Trust us, it’s not what you think.  We learn that Adam is the type of guy who is willing to, “Risk it for the Biscuit!” And June talks  Adam into spilling the tea by asking Adam what it is like to work with Michele on a comedy show.  Is Michele a Diva?  Wouldn’t you like to know!  You’ll get the answer to that question, plus, some powerful insight on: staying in your lane, finding your crew, mental real estate and much more!

Rice and Ducks and Comedy, Oh My!  In this episode June is a “dear” to support Jason Earls as his opener in Stuttgart, Arkansas! The ladies talk about Stuttgart being the coolest town in Arkansas and why this question:  “June Bug, are you ok with a deer head on the wall?” was relevant for housing while in Stuttgart.  June shares all about some of the sweetest people she has ever had the pleasure to do a show for and the ladies discuss how comedy can be used to help people fighting cancer, to encourage those who have lost someone to cancer, and to lift up a community who could use a few extra reasons to smile. Tune in to see if Michele’s duck joke will quack you up!

Oh! And bonus, Jason & June make the local news!

Cookies,Crocks & Comedy, Everything's Funnier in Texas!  Michele stole the cookie from the Cookie Jar! Ok, it was a hat not a cookie and she paid for it…but buyer beware! What happens when Michele unintentionally advertises for a company that sells products she would never purchase? You have to listen to find out.  Michele VanDusen shares with her co-host June Colson all about her Texas road trip.  She had two fantastic shows and there was chocolate, sparkly Uggs, and Crocks with NO socks!  You’ll also learn how June gained some “cool Mom” points with her son and how NOT to hold a pitch-pipe!

It’s our first guest of Season 3 and man did we come out swinging!!! Michele worked her magic and booked the multi- talented Taylor Mason. Taylor’s career has been a perfect example of what Laugh Support really looks like.  Relying first on the Lord, and keeping family and faith in the forefront, Taylor has seen doors open in ways that only God could orchestrate.  Taylor’s aunt, grandmother, parents, spouse, and many others have helped support him throughout his 42 years in comedy.  He sticks to three major principles: be funny-be entertaining-be informative and that’s exactly what you will get from our interview with one of the greatest! You will have fun, be entertained, and find out some fascinating information from our first guest on Season #3 of the Laugh Support

This Laugh Support is Twice as Nice!!! Michele opens not once but TWICE for the incredible Jeff Allen! June finds out all about what it was like to perform two nights in a row, at two different clubs, with one of the most accomplished comedians on the road today.  Michele shares how she didn’t run off her son’s girlfriend, how delicious the snacks were in the greenroom, and gives a little insight as to how her doctor ended up at the show.  Michele had the opportunity to help a young comic get into the club and her time with Jeff was picture perfect even though she forgot to take a pic with Jeff at the second show.  Thank goodness Michele the Mime is gone because we needed to hear all about this fantastic weekend of comedy.

Plus we get the backstage look at how June took over Rhonda Corey’s “Talk Is Cheap” Show. With the help from comedian Leslie Rob, comedian Christy Conder, Comedian Fefe Frazier, Lieutenant Michael J. Anderson, and a Wig June pulled of a successful show.
