Rob and I welcome national best selling author Travis Sawchik to the show.

• the pros/cons of stashing

• The youth starting pitching take over. How it’s been going, how do we expect it to progress

  • Mclean, Mis, Burns → how did you treat these guys in draft season

  • Can Bubba Chandler turn it around?

• Champions League → finishing 15th in the CLQ must have sucked. Would be fun to talk about the process in this format, if you employed any specific strategies (ie drafting/FAABing multipliers)

• What do we do with the walk rate spike moving forward re: player evals

Rob and I welcome Will Carroll onto the show, who has been covering the game for 24 years and has a long history of being a well respected injury expert. His Substack - Under The Knife, is only $5 a month and something Rob and I both use and reference often. Go check it out!

This pod is going to be released on the public side, so given that the last two were public, the next two will be for Patreon only. I am currently working on lining up some other guests as well

• Evaluating which injured players will likely return at their normal level of play vs players who are likely to be materially worse when they return

  • ‘injury projections’ - What information are we missing to improve the injury risk projections?

• “Teams/players lie about injuries’ -

• How different are medical staff and research/player development groups from organization to organization?

• Velocity vs injuries - when you see a pitcher throwing harder, do you think ‘that’s good news’ or is that a red flag? How hard is too hard

  • Other than decreased pitch velo, what’s an injury signal fantasy players can realistically track weekly that you think is underutilized? Is public data missing important signals?

  • best indicator of future injuries is past injuries.

  •  With pitchers that makes perfect sense.

• Are there injury prone hitters? is Royce Lewis broken and this is just who he is or could he play 155 games 5 years in a row?)....HE IS BROKEN!

Rollbacks

- FAAB ADDS:

- Vientos

-McCullers

- start sit decision making for pitching- how much does opposing team weigh in?

-Player Rater

- rostering and starting Grant Taylor

-Bat Speed
