One of the greatest things about Star Citizen is how wide-ranging and involved it aims to make various gameplay options. From mining to bounty hunting to cargo transport, you’re sure to get a unique experience however you play. But the professions are nowhere near finished, and many barely (or don’t even) exist at all. SalteMike & I take some time in this episode to discuss what choices you have, how they perform right now, and what we can expect from the various career paths in the future.

Star Citizen is a buggy alpha with a lot of development time and mistakes in its past. And most who follow the game know there is still plenty of work to be done. But is the work actually leading to a release? Will bugs continue to drag down the experience into nothing? Will Star Citizen Ever Actually be released? What is release? All of this and more in my hour+ long discussion with Grump Eye about the outlook of StarCitizen.

Piracy is one of Star Citizen’s most contentious topics. The acceptance of it is more linked to each player’s internal philosophy about the game, but everybody must accept that it IS part of the game. Today I talk to the leader of one of the most well-known pirate gangs in Star Citizen, Agensleti who runs the Mongrel Squad. We discuss the intricacies of piracy, why it’s the hardest way to play the game, and how critics might become more accepting of it in the future.

I bet you’ve heard somebody complain about Star Citizen’s multitude of issues at least once. Today we’ll be touching on quite a few, looking at some of the more common issues keeping the game from going mainstream, and how they may be fixed in the near-term by CIG. Montoya joins me for this episode to chat about what bugs us the most.

There is quite a bit of development dedicated to Squadron 42 right now, leaving Star Citizen in a weird state of limbo while major backend features are completed. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t some very interesting developments hidden in there. Today Morphologis and I discuss some of the more interesting things we see being added in the next year to the game, and why some of them are very much needed.

Star Citizen 3.17.2 doesn’t quite feel like a replacement for 3.18 - as that patch was essentially delayed - but it is coming with more content than most expected a month ago. As Star Citizen continues through this phase of development the small additions are becoming more common. Today I discuss the upcoming update and these small feature drops we seem to keep getting. Check out his tonk video as well!

Star Citizen is many things if not detailed. With at least 5 known spacefaring alien species in the game lore, 2 of them had languages as stretch goals. Those languages have been learned and understood by hundreds now, and with real content being made in these languages by the studio, I thought it would be a good time to bring in some efforts to learn more.

A new space game has made big news with a huge gameplay reveal. Bringing features like base building, space ship construction, explorable planets, space flight, and deep-space storylines to the AAA scene, Starfield is poised to make a big impact on the space genre and the industry as a whole. But who is the game for, and will Star Citizen players enjoy it? Me and The Astro Pub discuss.

Most games aren’t publicly developed for as long as Star Citizen, so most gaming communities don’t develop the same way. Star Citizen’s community is unique, and one of the best parts of the game. Let’s look at how the community has changed as the project went from tech demo to proper alpha, and how the community might change in the future.
